WIP Arctic Horizon
If I select United Kingdom ratings they are prefixed gb/ (gb/15; gb/18 etc). Would it be possible to remove this prefix? I know they're GB ratings because it was me that selected them in the settings Smile Thanks.

Question: The fullscreen Showcase that kicks in after a period of inactivity showing off movies in your collection - Is there any way of turning off the "Recommendations"? Bit tired of seeing the loading symbol all the time. By the time they've loaded then it's almost ready for the next movie to appear

I read somewhere that this was the skin you were actively developing and I thought, well I better check it out. Since I have gone from one or another of your skins in my journey of pursuing simplicity and elegance. Seems like this is my new favorite. I like how there are fewer options to customize and the default views look like how I would prefer Auramod or Titan Bingie, etc to look. Except navigation is much quicker when scrolling through 7000+ movies. Basically you have done all the work of setting up the skin the way I like so it is very easy to use, consistent and intuitive. I'm pretty sure this is my new go-to skin. There are however a couple things that I will probably just have to get used to. I miss the ability to just have text rather than icons on the main menu. I label my sections like: film, series, news, radio, music, etc and I am used to seeing those words as icons. For me it is a mental translation to look for some icon that visually represents these categories. I can see how icons make for a thinner, less intrusive and more visually consistent menu. But for me it is a minor frustration to look for a picture rather than a word and words are already pictures themselves. I'll probably just have to get used to it though because everything else is pretty much perfectly done. Like I say about many things: less is more. This is a terrific skin, thank you.

Another thing related to these home menu icons is I can't figure out what that home icon does. I can't seem to select it so it interferes with the intuitive nature of scrubbing the main menu. I get the profile icon, that would be handy if multiple people used this same kodi install, but it is just me and me alone, so that's off. But I don't get the point of the home icon. It doesn't seem to be doing or representing something I can change or control. So I am not sure what information it conveys. Like the icons as pictures or words as pictures/icons it adds a layer of mental translation that makes it slightly less intuitive. At least, I have found this to be so.

As I said though, I like how the default option are few and pretty much how I would set it up anyway. Why should I hassle with so many other views when showcase/poster style is what I am looking for anyway. Definitely my new favorite skin. Thank you.

Skins can't edit strings. You would need to change whatever scraper you are using.

Text based menu is already on my TODO list:
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arc.../issues/49

The home icon is for vertical alignment purposes. It doesn't do anything other than indicate that you are on the home screen - it was more important in earlier versions of the skin when the side menu was available in other sections of the library but I removed that feature as I found it more confusion than useful.

Maybe I can work around it by replacing it with a transparent icon. Something about it confuses me. I guess when I am moving the focus along the menu, my intuition is that it will go to the end (which is visually the home button) and when it does not it kind of throws me off. Seems like I have seen and had similar problems with this icon before. I think in the Eminence skin. A small problem though. Thank you for all your work and making it available for me to use.

Could it be made it a configurable icon, maybe the way the Home/Search icon was in AZ2?

That would be cool but I hate adding configuration options to a skin that is pretty much perfect already. Less is more. I really like it. I'm experimenting with a see thru icon now.

An issue i have may be more TMDBhelper?  I am unable to have the watched indicator show, and along with that unwatched episode count. I have the boxes checked, and have authorized trakt. I can get the watched indicator if i dig down to the show level.  But never the count.  Often there is a blue star in place where the watched indicator or unwatched count would be.

Might not be the skin as estuary does the same.  But maybe there is a setting i need to change?

Thank you.

I noticed I'm missing the option to select a background playlist in the menu settings, its only possible to select a single or multiple images.
Is that intentional?

What you're looking for is "Fullscreen widget path".

A question more than a request:

Is there a way of having the extrafanart scroll?

I removed it to simplify code.
