WIP Arctic Horizon
Hey jurialmunkey, I just updated to version 0.2.12 and my custom icons for submenu items have disappeared. Maybe this is an issue in my set up but when I rolled back to 0.2.11 it was fixed. Also the submenu hub popup is one icon too low when the home icon is deactivated. BTW I am loving this skin!

Jurial like allways nice work.
Just a question / request (sorry if has asked befero) can be use the logo insted the clear art. Have the option of one or the other.
The reason is that the logo is present in almost all medio and the clear art not.
Thanks again.

I would say the availability of clearlogo and clearart between different items is about the same. Some items have one, both, or none, but I don't feel like it's more likely to have one over the other.

The main reasons behind his choice to use clearart include not duplicating the title onscreen, and more consistent sizing. Clearart tends to be more consistently sized than clearlogos, and using them instead of clearlogos makes more sense in a view that already shows the title of the item.

In addition, clearart has a hard bottom edge which makes it possible to align with the horizontal divider.

Also, the primary point of including clearart is to supply some type of imagery along with the blurred background. If character art was more available and more consistent, I would actually use that as it has no logo at all.

I, for one, would actually love to see characterart used more widely.

@jurialmunkey  love love the wall scroll bar. great work

What's the aspect of the posters, they look like cropped & centered fanart. would there be an option for the normal posters
What's the scroll logic?  I've stopped trying to look though your code, lol.  I can see up and down is alphabetic and then sideways scrolls within the same letter and jumps to the next letter. but then I can see duplicates. Its all so exciting.

I did find my tv show library was hard to read as I have shows and the repeats of one show on the row below was disorienting.

this defo scratched my itch for a wall view. thanks

Fanart and long press info submenu seem to not be working for me on v0.2.14. Did a skin settings reset too, to no avail.

Wall view on the other hand is great.

Fanart should be fixed.

Info press submenu working fine for me. It was never long press - it's just info.

They shouldn't be fanart. It should just be normal posters:

For poster view, the wall items are setup like so:
xml:

-8 | -7 -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 -1 | 0
---------------------------------------
-1 | [0] 1 2 3 4 5 6 | 7
6 | 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 | 14
---------------------------------------
13 | 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 | 21

Numbers represent the number of items away from the focused item [0]. So basically down/up scrolls a whole page of the normal horizontal view - so the same as when you would use the scroll bar. Left/Right moves by 1 item. All the items just repeat infinitely in a wrap around.

To avoid the disorientation when there's only a few items, I'm thinking that maybe I might make it so that when you have fewer than say 21 items (3 rows) pressing down just goes to the scrollbar instead of the wall.

Thanks for the fix. Only default icons are showing; custom icon aren't showing.
Also would it be possible to make the new wall view optional.

Must be something wrong with my texture db, its happening with tv shows as well. I'll recache and advise of the poster show correctly.

Also getting an auto plot pop up as I scroll the wall view. Is that default or is it my setup.ImageImage

I second the scrollbar over the wall view, for less than xx items in library

@NotYourAverageAl - Can you test latest version from git. I'm hoping that will fix the issue.

You're right, it was on my side, the longpress mapping to info and the submenu popup seems to work just fine now on 0.2.16.

Regarding fanart the overlay does seem to work on 0.2.16, what I meant was the blur doesn't seem to work. Even with a fallback background it's just black on two devices I tested. I'll test further and keep up with your github changes.
