YouTube Plug-in Thread
19:40 - FFS, YouTube is broken.
19:42 - Aargh, still broken after a reboot.
19:43 - Uh-oh, nasty error messages in my log file - that can’t be good.
19:44 - Found this thread.
19:45 - Installed .zip and I’m fixed!

Awesome work anxdpanic!  I went from despair to fixed in no time at all. For the umpteenth time in 14 years of using xbmc/Kodi, I find myself expressing thanks for everything the team do!

Many thanks,

Fergus.
**nevermind I figured it out. Smile

okay - having the same intermittent error issue ... went to the link and I'm given 4 choices which some seem to have the same name but different file size ... to someone rather ignorant of this process - how do I choose between these selections? ;-)
@xenophrenia This is the one you want, plugin.video.youtube-6.8.0~beta1.zip

Could someone see what the problem is for me not being to be able to sign in?
@Blue_Scout
The log shows that the Client ID is incorrect, I would start by double checking that. I've also added a note to the sign-in process on the wiki which may apply, https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.yo...ys#sign-in

=======

I had the same issue with 6.8.0 and same error in logs. Reverted back to 6.7.0+Matrix 1 and was able to resume use without further issues
I want to watch some free youtube movies (for example).  I am able to do it in a web browser, but when I tried to do it in Kodi (Ubuntu>Leia Kodi), and got an error saying I need to setup the proxy.
I have searched around this forum, and haven't found anything related to it.  Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance!
just finished the seemingly hard task of creating mi api keys , the guide is almost spot on so thanx to the ppl who made it.
everithing works great now, hats off to the developers!
one issue I had was the inability to enter my keys in the web interface, I could access the web interface using ipadress for kodi but using ipadress/api returned a file not found error
I overcame this by manually editing the json file with a quick copy paste of the credentials, I'm using a tablet for mouse and keyboard control (unified remote for android)
 The json file was hard to find (no real help from the wiki),so I did a search on my c drive and found it inside some deep path inside my username folder.
for those afraid of the api creation process  fear not, it's a little nerve racking but tottally worth your time,YT with no ads inside kodi can't be beat.
@zhanglini - I've merged your post/thread about YouTube movies (a couple of posts above this one) into this proper YouTube addon support thread.

did you put the port number in too?  It's ipaddress:port/api
The port is in settings, however the default was mentioned on the wiki page for getting the keys etc...
Kodi Leia on Pi-4 running LibreElec. in production with family, and another one for testing.
@wallacebw, @Artlan and @zhanglini
Would need a complete debug log (wiki)
