i just found solution for my Sony Android TV... i made log file and i saw that ESN not the same as original app... I wrote original app ESN on paper and then first delete msl_data.json and cookies in Kodi... then open Netflix addon settings and manual add ESN and voilaaaaa 
4k HDR work again and bitrate is still variable and go over 20 Mb/s.... original app need 30-90 sec to turn on 4k and then bitrate is constant 15,25 Mb/s...

I'm also having a problem when it gets to the point of installing Widevine. I did a completely clean install of Kodi 18.6, I then installed "CastagnaIT Repository for KODI 18.x LEIA - repository.castagnait-1.0.1.zip" . Then from the repo I installed the Netflix 1.2.0 addon. The addon and all its dependencies install without any errors, however when I try to play a file I get the following error when the addon tries to install Widevine: https://imgur.com/a/I5p9tza

Thank you for linking to that issue. I was able to find an interim fix for the issue in the comments. It's also posted here on the forums.

I'm made some tests today.

So, iIf i'm right, on netflix items not exported (browsed in Netflix add-on) : Trakt doesnt' work, either watched status or rating. I'm ok with this.

But, with exported to library Netflix items i would like it works, but it seems that only the "watched status" sync is not working, but i can manually rate an movie or tv episode with the Trak Contextmenu add-on.

I have two addons :

TraktTrakt_-_Contextmenu

In the first i have a setting for automaticly ask my note when i finish to watch a movie or TV show :



With exported Netflix library items : the trakt popup isn't display automaticly

But, if i use the second add-on (Trakt Contextmenu) :

I can call the trakt menu manually and rate the movie or episode : a notification says "Rating sent". But if i try the "mark as seen" in the Trakt menu : i have a notification "error".

I have others similar add-ons (TV Time and Betaseries) for follow progress and both works with exported Netflix items to library.

I analysed the kodi log when i try to "Mark as watched" a netflix exported item with Trakt Contextmenu : 

I have this same issue with the Trakt add-ons, but not just Netflix (this is happening with Amazon VOD and local content as well).
My guess is something on the Trakt side isn't working quite correctly, or there were changes in Kodi or Trakt's API that a sync isn't working correctly with the add-on on Kodi.

Success!

I was able to get Dolby Vision+Atmos working on Kodi 19 with the add on.

The problem is with the Netflix logo that pops up before the originals. Afterwards the video falls back to normal 4k. In order to get DV working again you have to set the InputStream to manual resolution then switch back and forth to get DV working again.

This needs to be fixed, or at least a way to block the annoying "N" logo before videos would do it.

$25 device that offers both Dolby Vision+Atmos. Awesome.

Can you share here screenshot of your settings that work DV+Atmos?

Hi there, I'm new here and new to Kodi but already big fan! I use it with my Firestick 2nd gen, Kodi Build 18.6. I tried now to install Netflix add on, and it got installed correctly. I can log in and browse Netflix catalog but... when pressing play, playback doesnt work, something is loading and in the upper right corner of the screen there is a "play" icon visible (triangle) but nothing really starts to play. I also use HBO add on (hGO EU) and playback works perfectly fine. Any idea what might be the reason? Thanks for hints in advance!

No, I haven’t found a solution yet.
I have been looking at the forum topics for the main Trakt add-on to see if anyone else has been having similar issues & figured out a solution.

Android 5.x is old and often has problem with video codec
you can try disable VP9 and also HEVC profiles in add-on Expert settings

Thanks for taking time to answer! Both VP9 and HEVC were disabled by default. I tried now to disable DDP but it didnt help. When googling errors, I found this thread and altough it didnt solve my problem, I tried to check trailer as suggested by Smeulf and trailers are running fine. Would it mean some issue with DRM?
