Thank you

Have you enabled the option also in skin settings to show rt and mc ratings?

Steps

Arctic Zephyr - Leia Mod (Latest Version) downloaded from GitHub
Add your repo
https://github.com/beatmasterRS/script.m...adatautils
Add all API Keys
Set the RT flag

No RT flags.

On some other threads I have read about adding the MoveiDB helper or a file from marcel's repo. Do those help?

Thank you Beatmasterrs, this sounds good Smile

Hi BeatmasterRS,

While browsing my video library after a rescan, I noticed an issue with the line underneath the movie title in the Movies section, with the "Big Icons" view selected. Judging by the screenshot preview for this view, I ought to be seeing movie genre information, but all I see is "No information available" for all the movies in my library...

Movie Library - Big Icons View

... What am I missing? Is this a bug or down to a missing addon or dependancy? I see there are some other views that also display the same "No information available" message, in certain areas. I'll get you a list / screenshots if required.

TIA,

Dan / Gib.

This line should actually show genre information, you are right. For me, on my test system and my N2 it's all fine... . Does this also happen on other skins?

On VideoInfo is there a genre information?

I figured out what's causing it. It's not a skin issue. I have 4 movies in my collection that lack corresponding NFO files. For these movies, the genre information is displayed as expected. For everything else, nada. The movies that do have NFO files however, do not contain genre information. I think the program used to write out the NFO files is not writing genre information, and thus when the library scan is performed, even though I use the TMDB scraper, it's not adding the information missing from the NFO file to the video database. This could be down to timeouts with regards the TMDB, as we all know, due to Covid-19, the internet as a whole is more saturated atm than during normal times. Will do some more testing and see if I can force-update / re-create the NFO files with the missing information added.

I used to use tinyMediaManager to organize my video library, but it does not play well with the way I want my TV shows to be organized / named / structured, so figuring that Kodi's built-in scrapers would be good enough (assuming the folder and file names for all video content was accurate) I uninstalled it. Might be an idea to go back to it now v3 is out.

Another mystery (partially) solved.

While I'm here, a quick side-issue noticed as part of my investigation into the missing genres...

Select a movie, scroll down to the actor images, select/highlight an actor from that film, then scroll up to load his / her biography info. If the biography info is bigger (longer)  than the panel allocated can display, it will start to scroll the biography. However it doesn't scroll enough. The last line never comes fully into view before the panel returns to the top for some actors. It looks to be like it's scrolling by a fixed amount, rather than by the amount required for the length of information available. Validated by the fact it scrolls regardless of whether scrolling is required or not (short biographies).

In the screenshot below, the biography has scrolled by a small amount, and stopped. You can barely make out the tops of the letters / words for the last line of text, but this never becomes fully visible. The text fades out and resets to the beginning. You can only see the top of the last line in my screenshot, because at the time I took it, Kodi was in Windowed mode. In fullscreen mode, you can't see the last line at all for this actor.

Actor Information - Career / Biography

Yes, the Skin Helper fails to install, fails dependency. Is there a better one than the one on those instructions?

Try to install cherrypi module from here:

Then try to install skin helper service again Smile

Thank you  works perfectly ,I don't know how many people will use it since it will not show (movie type, time when movie/tv will end). I know you said you will show either filename or (movie type, time when movie/tv will end). For me it's super ok, but maybe just a suggestion if possible when show filename is checked you could show all the info with fade effect like movie type, time when movie/tv will end and filename Smile Thank you so much for implementing this, really appreciated.
