I hope someone can help me. An Android box I have has its own in-built Netflix app, which works perfectly. However, if I use my very much preferred method of watching Netflix, which is by using the Kodi add-on, I get a Playback error message, which says;
Netflix returned the following error:
Request failed validation during key exchange
My question is, why can Netflix work satisfactorily through the app yet, on the same box, not work within Kodi? The error message appears on trying to start a stream.
Thank you.

Further to my post above I wonder whether someone could tell me if the following would be possible/worthwhile/disastrous.
Connected to the same TV I have my preferred high spec. Android box (on which the in-built Netflix app works perfectly well but the Netflix add-on inside Kodi will not function at all) as well as a cheap Chinese box, on which, for some reason, Netflix works perfectly well albeit at 540, which is acceptable.
So, if I make a note of the ESN on the Netflix add-on working on the cheap box and manually put it on the Netflix add-on currently not working would that be OK?

Yea, I posted the error to github and like 5 people chimed in with the same issue. All started today. Looks like Netflix made some changes that are starting to get pushed out more widely. That's the challenge with these addons. They are great when they work, but the cat-and-mouse of being an unofficial Netflix app means that you can't really depend on it working. That's not a knock on anybody, that's just what it is.

Getting the keyerror thing as well. This really sucks. Any word on a fix or are we screwed?
