If it's encrypted then you will have no chance of getting any info about any Kodi/CoreELEC device to view such copy protected content.

If unencrypted, there are devices from MECOOL that have a DVBS2 tuner in them like the MECOOL K1 Pro, the CoreELEC forums has a bunch more info.
It's definitely not Plug n Play and you have to be real careful which hardware you choose for CoreELEC because DVB driver support can be spotty:

Honestly it probably cheaper and easier just getting a seperate device just for Kodi, and continuing to use the set top box for D2H vs going down the rabbit hole that DVBS2 & Kodi - all in the one box.
so nice of you for the reply, wrxtasy. i will go with 2 separate devices then. one non kodi but android box related query. can i get 5.1 audio in netflix and amazon prime videos with 5.1 audiotracks by connecting the box to my compatible denon avr via hdmi. do i need to do anything other than this?.

You need either a ....

Legit Google Certified - Android TV device found HERE (click)

Not all Android devices are “Netflix Approved” so you have to be careful with choices. Avoid 1GB RAM Android devices if possible.

Or an Amazon FireTV device if you want Netflix and Amazon - Apps - on Kodi capable devices with 5.1 audio.
The new 2020 - 1080p only - FireTV Stick “3” or 4K are great value. Smile

For CoreElec/Kodi on Odroid N2 ask here.

Today I got the X96 Air, I have installed CoreELEC well in the microSD but in the internal memory it gives me an error either in one way or another. I have read through the CoreELEC forum but nothing comes out, no background gives me an error.

Of course you posted this on the CE forum first?
I don't think CE actually support installing to internal on their forums anymore, and imo there's not really much point in doing it unless you're running a dual-boot firmware. Better off just leaving stock Android on there & installing to SD Card.

I have installed it in internal memory. Better now, very good image quality.

You can get >300Mbs using a Gigibit Ethernet USB 3.0 adaptor in USB 2.0 mode on a Fire TV.  (That solution is used on a lot of USB 2.0 devices that only have 100Mbs built in Ethernet too). However the 'official' Ethernet adaptor may be limited to 100Mbs.  Those of us with USB 3.0 Gigabit models use Micro USB OTG adaptors like these https://www.amazon.co.uk/AuviPal-Adapter...07TX8FY6W/ to passthrough the Micro USB power and tee-off a USB A connection to allow USB Storage, hubs or GigE adaptors to be used.
Anyone here who want's to test out nokia streaming box 8000 ?
I would like to know if it's better than Chromecast with Google TV.
Refresh rate matching and so on would be good to know :-)

Maybe someone has the device and can share a short review.
I'm looking for a a tv box to watch sports in kodi. My budget is 50 euros. Which one can you recommend me?

Are you looking for a box to play sports for free without paying?

No, it's for playing sports reps on kodi

We need more information like...
- Android Apps needed or just legal Kodi Addons ?
- are these copy protected sports streams that need Android / Kodi - WideVine L1 DRM ?
- which region of the world ?

I ask because you might also need 25/50fps support which means a device really needs to do Kodi auto Frame Rate Matching / Refresh switching.

There is nothing worse than stuttering/juddering Kodi video playback - whilst watching sports that has lots of movement during play.
Due to Kodi / TV Refresh Sync problems.

Usually if you just want a budget Kodi device, the entry level these days is an AMLogic S905X2 or S905X3 - X96 Max Air / X96 Max Plus (click), run CoreELEC Kodi on it from a microSDHC card and then Plug in a WeChip G20S, G30S or even better a G40S remote.

Hi - is there anyway to play Dolby Vision content (.mp4 files) in Kodi using Fire Stick 4k? Thanks.
With the new Lotr coming to UHD...

Apple TV 4K does not support (yet i hope Smile )  DV Profile 7...

Is there a player that actually supports this format?

There some experimental support it seems with the Amazon FireTV Stick 4K & 2019 Nvidia Shield, but you have to do self research over on the MakeMKV (click) and Plex (click) forums

However - 2019 Shield owners still face an unresolved - Wrong colours in Dolby Vision (click) - issue playing back such content.
