[RELEASE] Super Favourites AKA Super-Addon Creator
jmooremcc,

Any luck fixing SF Matrix so you can add an item to a folder with 2 clicks or more?

I've tried to find a work around but no luck.

Thanks

Not yet. I've got several Matrix issues I'm working on.
What procedure are you using to add an item to a folder with 2 clicks or more? Also turn debugging on for SF and post you log so that I can see what's happening as you execute the procedure.

Thanks.

I am having trouble with the log but the problem is simple.

If you add an item to a folder that requires one click it works fine but if it requires 2 or moire clicks it won't work

Example if you add Nightly news with Lester holt to a news folder it won't open because it requires 2 clicks one to open NBC Nightly News and one click to pick the day. It will not open.

Now if you add an entire addon it works  but if you add anything within the addon it will only work if it takes one click.

I am running a Minix U22 XJ Android box.

Many addons require 2 clicks such as Newsmax in Pluto. 1 click open Newsmax then it says live and  needs a second click so it won't open .

Hope this makes sense.

Using the SF I posted above seems to work fine. https://vimeo.com/user92265284

First let me say I am not very technically inclined.

I tried to follow your video but I can't figure it out. I have tried and tried.

I tried to install your fix but it failed, must have been for leia.

At this point I am probably going to have to give up unless jmooremcc finds a fix.

why so much effort to revive super favourites? video favourites
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=293511
does everything super favourites did (atleast for me) also video favourites doesn't have the flickering of screens when it opens a link
if you mess around with xml files you could even use colourise and highlight etc its much more stabe than super favourites which I loved and hope the dev is okay
if you haven't try video favourites and you won't go back to super favourites, also the code is cleaner I believe and therefore more maintainable, I hope the jmooremcc  takes over video favourites

At one time I used Video Favorites with SF in Leia. I also used Simple Favorites in Leia where Super Favorites didn't work.

But  now I am setting up Matrix and Video Favorites and Simple Favorities are no longer supported and won't work in Matrix.

I like Super Favorites and I just think it would probably only take a simple fix for someone who knows how and probably easier than trying to fix Simple Favorites and Video Favorites for Matrix.

As I remember Simple Favorites quit working in Leia.

Thanks for the reply.

video favourites is the successor to simple favourites , from the devs post
"NEW: Video Favourites
NEW: Audio Favourites
* The last two addons are specific to the Video and Music sections of Kodi.
* They provide direct links to addon paths and should behave better than Simple Favourites."
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=293511

So you don't have to think about simple favourites.

Why would a more complicated addon (super favourites) be easier to update than a simpler addon (video favourites)? I would assume the code for video favourites would be easier to read and change and Im guessing since it does the core functionality only, the code itself is smaller...

and my last point still remains, when you create a link in super favourites and click it, kodi shuffles a few windows before it gets to where it needs, this doesn't happen in video favourites and literally they doing the exact same job, super favourites is inferior to video favourites due to this and slower I believe.
Alot of Super favourites feactures like isearch, irecommend have already been taken over by imdb helper and done in a more modern and better way.
So imo reviving and maintaining video favourites would be the correct choice moving forward?

lastly why have you moved to matrix when leia works perfectly well and it will take a while before addons move over so what benefits does matrix have?

I have a Minix U1 running Leia and recently bought a new Minix U22 XJ and am running Matrix on it.

Not all but most of the stuff I use has already moved to Matrix plus some new addons.

As far as Video Favorites I would be willing to try if someone fixed it for Matrix. It's just I have used Super Favorites for years.

I would be OK either way.

I replicated the problem based on your input and have releases for both Leia (Version 1.0.62) and Matrix (Version 2.0.2) that fixes the problem.

Please let me know if this release fixes the problem you reported.

i am really sad, that it does not work for me:
I have tested the fixed SF version 1.0.61 on Kodi 18.9 (Win10)

It only works for me with 1 Youtube-Playlist and with no others. Not even if I change the play mode in SF.
No radio from Tuneinradio-Addon.
Streams from ARDandZDF-Addon some, if I change the play mode.

Almost all my normal Kodi favorites don't work in SF.

All my normal Kodi favorites work in favorites but nearly no one work in SF.

Try my new SF release version 1.0.62 Leia and let me know if that resolves your issue.

Thanks for your hard work.

I got the update yesterday and have been testing. It appears to work except for a couple exceptions.

This is really weird, none of the Australian or New Zealand addons work With more than one click. It's not a VPN problem (9Now, 10play, Three now, and TV New Zealand). Why these they always worked before. These addons are all new Matrix addons and work fine except for adding to SF.

Everything else appears to work.

Thanks

Hi rocko,
I found some addons that mimicked the problem you reported in SF. I'd like you to test SF 2.0.3 and let me know if it fixes your issues.

Thanks.
