To display logos while "paused":

1. Skin Settings -> Video OSD -> Enable "Logo"

Additionally, you can access this options by Selecting "gears" icon while playing a video.



Note: On your second screen capture, you will not display "logo" because it's already displaying "clearart".
You can play with the settings display with the "Video OSD" options and select the best suits you.

Thanks but this is my point, in Aeon Nox 5, it would display the logo AND clearart, it looks a bit bare having just text for the show name when you're used to seeing the proper logo. 

It makes no sense having logos if the skin only uses clearart when both are present (it displays both a poster and a logo in the show list so why not clearart and clearlogo on a pause screen?).

Also, with logo enabled on shows with a clearlogo image and NO clearart, the pause screen still shows no logo, so surely this is broken?

+1 for this one, I asked the exact same question a couple of pages back but so far no real answer.

I don't get it ...

Kodi 19 on Windows 10 + Skin Aeon Nox Silvo:

Created folder on NAS with radio stations (internet / stream), in each folder a *.m3u with exactly one station + self created logo. In Kodi on Windows it is displayed exactly as I want. So folder / cover the radio station is shown (normal / full screen), the discart changes the label depending on the title, fanart in the background, lyrics works. (Images see here ) Streams are opened & played. It works funny.

Also in the preview / selection to source (folder overview) the display of my self-created logos works.

Kodi 19 on (vdr) Ubuntu + Skin Aeon Nox Silvo:

Kodi 19 on Linux accesses the exact same NAS source. In the folder overview / selection the logos are still displayed, in the music view (normal / full screen) the logos are NOT displayed. Only Discart is displayed. The streams are opened & played. Lyrics, Discart, Fanart works like in Windows too.

I really don't know why !? The settings for Aeon Nox are identical on both computers as far as fanart, or artwork is concerned. Also all help scripts are on the same level on both computers. Also the test run of the skin in Linux with the Skin settings.xml from the Windows computer brings the result that the logos are not shown on Linux in the music view. Who the hell wants to drive me crazy here ? (all pictures from the Linux PC: )

When playing "normal" music, i.e. albums, the cover display works as it should on both computers.

WHERE can I start looking, what setting is required or responsible for this on streams. Where and what can I check ?

i'm currently confused about artwork in general, since some stuff shows up like it should and other isn't.

Is there a list of what art should be called now?
logo.png used to work for artists, but now it seems clearlogo.png works much better.
cdart.png used to work fine across the board, but now some art is displayed, some isn't.

In general - how Kodi uses art, how local art is being picked up, what settings need to be configured, where all those settings are... it's just confusing af now.
And that is coming from someone working in IT, having been using this software for 15 years.

There seem to be especially issues with multi-disc albums.
All of mine have artwork stored locally in the files.
I've set Kodi to use local artwork.
Still, i see album covers from online sources and don't know why.

I've had none of these issues with Kodi 18.
Is Kodi 19 just not ready for prime time or are there new settings i'm not aware of?

I think it's a touch screen issue on Kodi 19 and this skin. If you use a mouse or keyboard it seems to be OK. As soon as you use a touch to move through the main menu bar you get the issue of being locked to one item on the main menu bar. At least that's what I have found on my Android Samsung SM-T800 tablet.

I don't know if it's a Kodi 19 issue or a skin issue.

You can add the 2017 shield to your list, that's what I am using when trakt watched indicators don't show in info wall view :-(

Been testing this skin since moving to Kodi 19 (Matrix) and love it.

I have a couple of issues/broken/not working stuff to report though:

1 - Watched/In progress stickers (overlays?), don't work and don't show on any view specially on movies but also on TV Shows. Even if I manually set the item as "watched", nothing is happening to the cover. The only thing working is episodes watched counter or (on episode views), it shows the correct checkbox for watched/not watched/in progress episodes. ---------> This is working as intended, I simply didn't set them up.

2 - Using the embuary.helper plugin, the following issues happen:

a) On video info, when I scroll down to "similar movies", clicking on any of those movies, does nothing (altough sound input and visual click is recognized). The only way to change to that particular movie, is long pressing the enter/ok button to bring up the contextual menu and then choose "Information"

b) When doing a), the new movie we are now seeing the video information of, does not have the cast when I scroll down, only more similar movies. This is obviously fixed by going back to the home screen and then entering "movies" again. But it's annoying.

c) Widgets art. When I try and set a widget using embuary.helper (for example, "Recommended based on last watched") it works perfectly but there's a catch: I can only select "poster" "square poster" or "fanart" as views to display on main menu. Not icons, not banners, etc. Is this by design? Asking since I can select those views on any other widget outside embuary.helper so it's probably a skin integration issue?


Ok so these are the ones I recall from fiddling with the skin yesterday. Love it and will be using it moving forward. But would like to know if any of these has been reported before (since there are many pages in this thread and I didn't go through all of them!) :p

a & b) I can make it so clicking on a movie plays the movie but I don't know of an easy way to show the info. As you discovered yourself there are quirks when doing things within DialogVideoInfo.

c) If you select that going through addons instead of in the movie section it will give less info. This is by design as I cannot make the skin work for all image types for every addon since not all provide option.

Pretty new to this skin and think its excellent so many thanks for all the hard work. Got it pretty much how I want it but have seen there is an option for the cases to open which looks pretty cool, I have searched and cant find a way to enable this. Read about an open case mod but again cant find instructions on how to add it, can anyone help? Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find it.

Also while I am here another query, I have 104 movie sets and most of them show an age rating for the set as well as the movies contained in the set. But for 18 of the sets there is no age rating, any idea why this would be the case. I cant see how these 18 are any different to all the other sets.

I am using Kodi v19 (Matrix) and I use tiny media manager, all my data is local rather than using Kodi scrapers.

Many of the open case mod features use Skin Info Service to function correctly. After that they need to be enabled in the few views that support it.

The skin uses the first movie in a set for the MPAA rating classification.

I'll have to look into adding this as I will have to use the image elsewhere and not just in Music Viz. For consistency reasons

If I install and use a skin other then the original Kodi skin, Kodi crashes almost directly after start up.
When i delete service.library.data.provider from addons and packages. All is good and i can use the skins, also Aeon Nox Silvo.
I have no idea why, also, it looks like it works without service.library.data.provider installed.

After years and years of using Aeon Nox:5, I finally had to switch due to CoreElec giving me serious problems. Switched to Silvo and must say I should have done it sooner. I do have a few small issues though, they seem to be timing issues.

- When I browse for subtitles, most of the time the video is paused after the subtitle search is visible. When that happens, the pause button is on top of the search windows, making it hard to read.
- I use multi images backgrounds based on playlists. On Nox:5 they were almost instant, in Nox:Silvo it takes one or two seconds for the image to load. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong and it showed the artwork of a previous menu item, but now I get black screen before the image loads.

Can't replicate any of these problems...

I have just installed an addon and viewed it in Estuary in "Programs/Addon name" where links in the addon have details about each link in a panel to the left of the links.

How can I get a similar view in Aeon Nox: SilVO so that details about links appear?

In Aeon Nox: SilVO the List view has just that, a list of the links without any details.

Can I view the addon links with a description of the link also viewable?

Try a different view like InfoWall.

Not sure what you mean by Trakt watched indicators as the skin doesn't use Trakt to know what you watched or not but if you mean the built in watched stuff then it's a two part process to activate on poster views.

First enable the ones you want to see in Skin settings > Advanced > Watched status indicators:



Then enable in the corresponding view. Each view is independent:

Aeon Nox 5 did not display the clearart. It only showed the clearlogo instead of title.

I moved the image to the corner and the skin will prefer clearart but will show clearlogo if it's not available. If both are not in the DB then it will fallback to poster.

I have no multi disc albums so it isn't currently supported. As for artwork the skin uses the Kodi image DB for displaying them.

I searched for something but found nothing, so I ask you here now ...

I am using stable Kodi 19 with skin "AEON Nox: Silvo", when I open the main scroll page of the films I am in "MyFlix" mode and correctly display all the icons (I have the colored set) related to the information of the selected film (4K, DD, FullHD, etc).

However, the "HDR" icon is missing from the list, in the movie name the "HDR" tag is contained, is this icon not implemented?

If you installed from Kodi repo, it's not yet implemented. 
Latest GIT ver has it. Just downlod from here.
