I can replicate the problem using French language. This is an issue that @olympia will need to look at.

I also tested with the python version of the scraper, and it scraped the season artwork ok. You might want to swap scrapers if you are in a hurry.

I'm not in a hurry, but I decided to give it a try to the TMDb TV Shows scrapper, and it's much better !
Everything is working fine except one serie. I'll post the debug log in the appropriate topic.

Hello, guys.
I'm using night build of Kodi and trying to use the episode group for Wolf's Rain series. I've created tvshow.nfo with "https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/34801-wolf-s-rain/episode_group/6146c7f62dffd8006680e8ed" line in the show's directory. I've also have "Season 1" folder with files from "Wolf's Rain (2003) S01E01.mkv" to "Wolf's Rain (2003) S01E30.mkv". But Kodi scraps only first 26 episodes (which are "Season 1" by original air order).

I can make Kodi to scrap remaining episodes by renaming them to "Wolf's Rain (2003) S00E01.mkv" to "Wolf's Rain (2003) S00E04.mkv" (because they are "Specials" by original air order, i guess), but they still sorted in the wrong order and named as specials.

What am i doing wrong and how to fix it? Thank you.

That all sounds correct so far.

Provide a Debug Log which captures you scraping that show, and I should be able to spot where the error is.

Alternatively you can switch to tv scraper no 4 here... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=363391 and see if it scrapers correctly.

Ok. Kodi has not found your nfo file so it is directly scraping the default order. Can you provide a screenshot of the contents of your Wolfs Rain folder so I can see all the files?

The only other possibility is the actual nfo file itself. Check your nfo files have the correct encoding which should be UTF-8. The image is from Windows Notepad after pressing the Save button...


If that is not the problem either, can you send me the file and I will test it here. Upload it to a file hosting site and provide the link.

I've manage to make it work. I'm not sure if it was the encoding: i've tried the thing you've recommended, but i also moved the series' directory again, cleaned the library and find out that there still was "Wolf's Rain" entry in the TV Shows section (with 0 episodes). I removed this through menu, moved series back and updated library... and there was correct episodes list. Thank you!

Encoding is right.

In the group the only season named "All Episodes + OVAs". Tried to put episodes to the folder with the same name, it didn't help. Renaming to S00E* helps, but, again, it relies on original air date, not the episode group.
I'm using S01E* format of episode names because of this thread, but experimented also with some other values. If this is the problem, i don't know where to find the valid value.

Any suggestions?

Using tmdb scraper on Kodi 17.6, version 2.0.11

The Netflix tv show Elves is not scraping correctly. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/135864-nisser

I even tried with manual search or searching for Nisser but there's no way of finding it.

I have the same problem with TVDB tv shows scraper but I'll post about that in the relevant thread.

Edit: solved this with parsing nfo file. Still don't understand what's going wrong with this show.

Hmm, there certainly seems to be a problem with the Search results. None of the <id> match the actual show, and some <id> are reused for different shows. It must be an issue in the scraper for v17 because there is no problem in v19. I don't have a v17 install so I can't test.

Maybe @olympia might have time to check it out?

Any reason you are still on an old version of Kodi?
