I am currently working on implementing auto-trailers. I think i am able to implement it so that

- there is no annoying loop playing of the same trailer
- you can easily switch to fullscreen mode and back after starting a trailer without stopping the playback
- media playback is not stopped per se when focusing the widgets
- the movie playback is not affected when starting a movie from a widget and an other widget gets focused

A first version:

looks really good , so when trailer is playing are you pressing the "back" button to stop it and get back to widget row ?

In my tests i was using "stop" to stop playback. I am currently still testing, cause i am not yet sure which behavior provides the best user experience...

My apologies, please check this link.  NOTE: I set the system to log from profile one, two, and the master and then exited Kodi.  However, when I logged back into profile one, the logging was shut off so I re-enabled it and then flipped between profiles a few times before exiting.

@beatmasterrs Unfortunately, it seems 1.1.58 (and 1.1.57 as well) still have the bug noted above.  The 1.1.56-no-patch-2 version you asked me to try does work however.

@beatmasterrs Unfortunately v1.1.57 and 1.1.58 reintroduce the issue where a multiple profile system will bypass the master profile password and log into it automatically after logging out of another profile.  The test version 1.1.56-mod-startup-patch-2 works as intended.  See logs here if they help (note Kodi crashed on all three occasions, but the logs should show when user one logged out and then it popped into the master profile.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, it doesn't look so good to me, because in the best case you see the ClearLogo 3 times on the screen. Also, the poster is too high. If the poster had the same height as the banner, it would be better, but then the banner has no more space. So far not possible. Thanks anyway

Thanks for your feedback. I have been dealing with this for a long time and the question is, is this a problem caused by the skin or is it KODi? Especially with things like user logins and logouts, it should not be possible to override a login on the skin side?!

I will take a look at this soon, if there is another hack, where this works without any issues and the startup animation is looking good.

Is there any bug report at the Kodi GitHub page, that is releated to this issue?

The jumpbar is not available on a few views, cause the slide animation doesn't look good on these views. I am looking for a good solution, where the animation looks also good

Hi friend, is there any way to reset the widget position upon entering the Home screen (again)? My wife regularly misses updates because new shows appear but they’re cut off to the left (because it doesn’t reset ). Thank you for your time

Also, a few months ago you were working on a way to make the end of scrolling through your library prettier (in Netflix view the poster would end up on the right side (stuck) instead of the left it now ends up at. Did you ever manage to solve that issue? Hope it’s clear enough

I'm not sure if it's Kodi related because it hasn't happened with any other skin other than yours and Aura (also from @jurialmunkey).  Whatever code you have in the modified patch version works, not sure if that can be brought forward into the next version.  For reference, here's a workaround someone else (MarcMin) did:

I know, what you mean and have not forgotten this "issue". Its not solved, as you can see on GitHub:

This is an "issue" I've always put off, as I also want to customize the behavior in the main menu with it. This change will be very extensive and take some time, cause much code has to bei changed. I'll take another look at it soon, once I've finished other things

In some situations this issue occurs in other skins (Amber, Estuary Mod V2) as well:

That seems to be working so far on a production system with four profiles using version 1.1.58.  I'll keep an eye on it as there is some colour picking weirdness going on (changing it in one profile changes it in another) but that's for another day.
