Beta Copacetic: alpha and beta development thread
Hey @"QuizKid"!

I recently started using your skin and I just wanted to let you know how much I'm loving it!

It it by far the most beautiful skin I've ever used. And trust me I've used every skin on Kodi. When I started to use Copacetic, I didn't realize how anxious other skins made me feel by putting so much content and so much info on the screen. They had ratings, logos, and 30+ items per page. It was too much. Quite often I felt like I couldn't decide what to watch cause of so many choices on one screen. On top of that, because there was so much content and info on the screen, I could barely see the artwork and the logos - no matter how big my screen was. Enter Copacetic. The way the content is laid out in just one to three items per page is so beautiful and calming. The artwork is on full display and it really makes it pop. I felt like I could finally enjoy browsing my content without getting an aneurysm. The way the home screen provides small unobtrusive shortcuts while having the option to access widgets is genius. I also love the widgets and that it's only one full screen page per widget. It looks super clean.

In this day and age, it's hard to blend content, functionality, and beauty in a way that isn't too overbearing and is still easy to use. Especially in the tech world. Copacetic does just that. It's beautifully simple and simply beautiful.

I wanted to let you know that I can tell how hard you work on your skin and the amount of thought and love you put into it. It's really appreciated. Thank you so much for sharing your creation with the world!
@5P004Y32 thanks, I really appreciate your kind words. I had similar experiences dealing with some media players and certainly most modern streaming apps. And because my library is a fairly manageable size and I know everything that's in it, I'm happy to keep the clutter to a minimum like you and focus just on the artwork. I hope you continue to enjoy the skin. I have recently been working on cleaning the code to try and make loading of the main windows a bit faster. Once that is improved, there are a few minor bugs to iron out and then I think it's more or less complete. Unless I add game/pvr support, but I'm not sure I will to be honest.

The only other thing I'm currently considering is integrating autoplay trailers into some of the views, but I'm not sure yet on that one

You're welcome. I just wanted to express my gratitude for Copacetic.

Yes that's awesome! I have noticed that the windows loaded a bit slow whether it was an addon like Netflix or the main windows but I was willing to overlook that because of how much I love this skin. Great to hear that you're working on that though. If you can get the window loading speeds similar to the default Estuary skin, that'll take Copacetic to another level. I think that's entirely possible because Copacetic is so lightweight.

As for PVR support, would be cool but not necessary for my use. Plus the Kodi PVR clients have always had issues for me so I just use something else for live TV.
Autoplay trailers would be cool but I can't think many ways design wise that would cleanly integrate with your skin. On which views were you considering adding that to?
Cant install !
"THE DEPENDENCY ON XBMC.GUI VERSION 5.16.0 COULD NOT BE SATISFIED"
You need to be on Kodi Nexus for it to work
@5P004Y32 If you download the newest version, do you notice any speed improvements on loading windows?

So it's interesting what I'm seeing. I tried loading windows from different sources like my library, system settings, the Netflix addon, and TMDb Helper. What I found was that sometimes the window loaded slow (6+ seconds), and sometimes it loaded really fast (1 second or less). It didn't seem to matter which source the content was coming from as the performance will similar across the board. It happened a lot where I loaded a window and it was FAST, then I backed out to the previous menu in order to load it again and it was a lot slower. Some interesting behavior lol.
I cannot find a way  to download this skin for my Fire Cube.
Whenever I click on the link from the first post I am taken to the Github page but the green Code icon does appear so have nothing to click on to start the download. Can anyone help please?

Edit the addon.xml and change "version" to 2.09.
Thanks for your help but I have very little knowledge on how to do that.
I am using a Fire Cube with remote,no keyboard.
I can go into Kodi via FX File Explorer and see the line you refer to but cannot see how to change it with the resources I have.
Isn't there a url I can add  to File Manager within Kodi?
