how to move userData folder for Nexus build?
#1
Hi.

I'm testing the Nexus build but it seems to ignore the path in the xbmc_env.properties file.

any idea why?
the file works well for all 19.x builds

My nvidia shield just updated to 20 RC1 and I found this problem as well. Started looking around and haven't found a solution. Anyone have any info? Will report as a bug if not. Didn't see it there already.

Adjust the "Files and media" permission in Android TV 11 settings:

Settings > Apps > Kodi > Permissions > Files and media > Change to "Allow all the time"

that doesn't work.
There's a bug in Shield.
I had to create a new folder on my external SSD so Shield can copy the Kodi user_data folder to.

This actually worked for me.

My setup in case it makes any difference:
Kodi 20.0-RC1 (19.90.901) / Git:20221210-011as268d0
Nvidia Shield TV Pro running software version 9.1.1(33.2.0.157)

Thanks!
