Titan BINGIE MOD v1 (UPDATED - 07/24/2020)
(2023-01-02, 15:22)coults79 Wrote: Hi,

I turned on my Kodi this morning and it's automatically updated the theme, I have set the widgets up for the home screen as I want them but I can't save the label name to something else, it just doesn't seem to save when changed, just stays as the default. Also, the icons for the menu can't be changed either when adding new menu items and clicking the Set Icon link, nothing happens.

Is anyone else having this problem?

You need to do a fresh install of both kodi and the mod if you are upgrading from 2.0.3 to 2.1.0

Now I understand what your asking... You can do it just play with the skin... Long press the ENTER button on the video file you want to play and I thinks you hit either info or play.... If you hit info then after the screen pops up hit play.... works just fine

Just scan your media back using local content.. I have around 15,000 Movies now and it only takes about 15 mins to scan into Kodi... All of mine are local media on 5 20TB HDDs.

Movies are not so bad, tv shows however take sooo long to add to libary (expecially if its something with 20+ seasons)even using local info only. im almost finished adding my tv shows (ofcause it dosnt help its getting bigger every time ive had to do a complete reinstall and I've lost count howmany that is now) seems to take about 1 1/2 - 2 days for tv shows then movies will take half of that time.

Just wish it would hurry up so I can fully set it all up 😁

Yep. Fresh install. Had the last version of this skin running on 19.4 and everything worked. Uninstalled Kodi 19.4 and did a new install of 19.5. Deleted Kodi cache and Kodi data folder just be safe before installing this update. Files that are scanned into library are fine. Its just if you decide to play a file direct from HD it doesnt work. It tries to play but then nothing happens. Seems one other person is having the same problem. Works fine if you enable Kodi default skin.

ive tried that already. Still no go. Like i said, all files work fine if they are scanned to library but unscanned movies from the same location (ie from same HD) will not work with this skin.

I don't know what it could be. I don't have that problem. Is this how you open a movie from hdd?

Yes. Thats exactly how ive been trying to open movies that are not scanned to library. Tried 'Play' option. Tried 'Play from here' option. Neither option will play the file. The loading spinner shows and then nothing happens.

Movies that ive already scanned to library i can open the normal way by just clicking on the cover art. They work fine that way. Its just unscanned movies that dont play.

In short - scanned movies play. Unscanned movies dont play.

Just installed DailyMotion video add-on from the official Kodi Repo just to test if it would play any files. Same thing happens. It tries to open - loading spinner shows - and then it fails to play. Did the same with default Kodi theme Estuary enabled, everything opens and plays fine. Its something within this skin that prevents non-scanned to library video files from opening.

There is nothing to prevent the skin from playing the file. It wouldn't work for me either. I can't reproduce the failure, that's the problem. Upload a log file.

Edit: i seem to have solved my problem. I did another clean install and everything seems to be working now. Installed the skin, plugged in an external HD and tried playing directly from it without scanning to library and video files now open as normal. Downloaded DailyMotion video add-on from Kodi Repo and that works too. Im now going to scan all my files into the library. I dont know what happened but thanks for your help. I know you guys dont get paid for what you do, but i really appreciate the effort you put into your work.

Sorry for the double post...

I recall having a similar issue some time ago. If I'm not mistaken, it was simply because no color was selected or the selected color was corrupted. Maybe it was the option [Media listitem border focus color].

Anyways, I would save your color theme and change some colors that fits the description best. Once you figure out which color is causing the issue, import back your theme and just change that color. Good luck.

I'll try to update my skin as well. Seems like [Use extra fanart] is working again, many thanks for that!

Thanks to all contributors for this amazing skin!

Whats the best way to reinstall the skin on a Shield? I have downloaded the all you need zip from the first page of this thread, put it on a flash stick and added it to a folder on my Shield but every time I go into Add-ons > Install from Repository > Titan BINGIE MOD Repository 1.0.0 > Look & Feel > Skin and click on Titan BINGIE MOD 2.1.0, Kodi closes and I have to start it again.

Have I got the right file?

Im using a Shield. Make sure youre on Kodi 19.5. It wont install otherwise. Itll just crash back to the Nvidia Homescreen. i Had the same issue.

The latest 19.5 update isnt available yet via Google Play so youll have to download whatever version is available on the store and then from within Kodi download Android Installer from the Kodi Repo and install 19.5 that way. Thats what I did.

Also before you install the skin, make sure you go to Settings/Syestem/Add-ons and enable Unkown Sources & - Update official add-ons from - Any repositories

Good evening. Thanks for the clue. The problem is that the listitem border focus color seems not to be set by default, and I can't find it in the color parameters. I was tryning to modify the xml, without success, and I even decompacted the Textures.cbt, as there are png for button borders... it drives me mad !
