Actually I got it to install properly with the tweaks from the early posts.  I'd still be interested in getting a zip with all the changes as figuring out exactly what needs to be changed is hit and miss.  I was using a flatpak install of Kodi previously and it did not work.  Playing around with it for a bit on my laptop before I make any attempt to update my Libreelec RPi

Why can't this be included in the official list of skins available on the Add On repository? It really is the best skin. I'm actually still running 17.0 just so I can use this skin. I'm going to attempt to upgrade to 19.5 with this skin available.

Because it is abandoned and nobody has offered to take over maintaining it. A pity, really.
Its only working now because a few members came up with fixes and I just packaged the fixes into one zip file so others, like you, didn't have to pull their hair out trying to figure how to implement the fixes.

Yep - using it on a LibreELEC Nightly-x86-Generic install that's built around the Nexus beta.
(has nice bleeding edge stuff like 10-bit HDR support for newer Intel iGPU on Linux etc.)

Transparency works fine ... well ... just as it does on Matrix, for *that* value of "fine"

The above is based on Kodi 20 (Nexus)

OK I have cloned the repo on github and tested on my own install that it works with skins.widgets from here https://github.com/scott967/service.skin...ee/python3

https://github.com/konetzed/skin.transparency/releases/ I bumped up to 11.1.0 for release version.  The last version i could find of Ronie's was 11.0.9.  Hopefully this works.

I have no idea how much time i will dedicate to this so who knows.  

Currently I am trying to figure out how skins work and the dependency on service.skins.widgets.

@ronie said it was ok to fork and start over. I couldn't find find anyone doing that here if someone has please let me know.  I just thought if nothing else this saves ppl from having to track down a working zip file.

The zip file I was issuing, which contained most of the fixes mentioned in this thread is v11.0.13 so your v11.1.0 should override that.

Is your version compatible with Kodi v20?

I am testing it on my coreelec Nexus v20 install and its working.  

I have yet to dig through all the fixes in the forum but it installs w/o issue for me.  Is there some place all the fixes are documented or are the just scattered across the thread?  Also I can bump that version number up after the rest of the fixes are in place.  So far this is all I have changed, https://github.com/konetzed/skin.transpa...s?expand=1

@Karellen I see you fixed a lot of issues not that I read father back in the history.  If i could get a copy of your zip i could diff my way between the two and get my github repo updated and a new release cut sometime, hopefully soon.

It contains most of the fixes mentioned in this thread. IIRC there was one fix I couldn't figure out, can't remember what it was, but you probably came across it as you read back.
It also includes some personal information display tweaks that I liked having as well as a colour theme.

Ok I have imported what i think are all Karellens fixes from the forum.  I have it installed on my nexus box and things seem to be working w/o issue.  How about if there are issues bugs are filed in github for it now?  Make it easier to track fixes and issues?  Also I am totally open to pr's.
