Kodi resets after accessing the video information from the menu item. From the settings and video library items it is ok. I have set: "Show movie information" and not "Play".

I have the latest update.

Another great looking skin. How do I add more items to the side menu on main screen, or is 4 the max I can have ? Thanks.

Looks really good! I would really like to install it from the repo, but it says I can't connect to the repo when I am on my Xbox. It works just fine on my AndroidTV and PC, but I want to migrate to Xbox as it has better hardware than CCwGTV. Does anyone have any advice?

4 custom items in the side menu is the limit. However, you can add as many categories and submenu items as you like.

The idea is that the side menu has broad content types (movies, tvshows, music etc.) and then the hub for each section has subfolders in the categories/submenus to further explore content.

Thankyou for your reply.

I tried to add a widget row to PVR section with a group of channels from my IPTV using script.skin.helper.widgets. It was 'getting directory listing' for a long time, a lot longer than other Arctic skins.  It was taking so long I went to bed. It eventually loaded and failed to display that group as a widget (it just does not load the channels, while widgets like 'recent channels' loads.

I really, really, really like how smooth this skin is.  I know it is an alpha but I can't wait to see what beautiful viewtypes you come up with for movies and TV shows.

That way tapping back takes you back to the start of the row; double tap takes you up a level; and long press opens the side menu. I'd set that behaviour by default but skins aren't meant to modify the keymap.

How do you bring up menu without a remote? I prefer a keyboard (More buttons than a remote) or the Kodi remote app. When I am in EPG guide I can't seem to trigger the menu to change groups (Unless you intend people to go through the navigation option on the sidebar). I like the back button brings up menu in EPG in your other skins.

Sorry for spamming your thread. I just love your skins and like to deep dive into them.
While configuring the main categories on the left side. I was trying to make a Sports section for F1/UFC/WRC. I am limited to static hubs like movies, tv shows and music. Since sports are indexed/scrapped as TV I chose tv. First thing I noticed is that it has a spotlight widget that shows random TV shows.  That had to go as it had nothing to do with sports.  I changed it to 'widgets only' and added sections for the sports I want.  Now when I try to access that hub the spotlight widget is gone (good) but I can not access ANY of the widgets.  There is a huge blank hole where the spotlight widget was and I can not arrow down to the widgets. In the picture the UFC row is much lower, not sure why it is so high in the picture.

Awesome @jurialmunkey , you always reinvent the wheel when it comes to functional and aesthetically pleasing Kodi skins!

Just curious, and if needed I can put this question/feature request on GitHub:

Are you planning on adding the "stacked widgets" to this skin?

That was probably my favorite recent feature you created. Being able to make a set of 'sub widgets' that pop up when the required 'main widget' option is highlighted made it so dynamic and clean/efficient for getting straight to the information I needed at the moment.

Worked wonders for PVR Guide groups with a Last Played Channel stacked widget specific for each guide category.

Either way, keep rocking and rolling, we all appreciate it!
Can we also have this widget style from AH2?

"M" key on keyboard brings up the side menu.

If you scroll up or down to the ends the loop around involves the channel group switch (i.e. up from first channel or down from last channel). Though definitely need to add the option for back to go to the switcher -- just haven't quite got to it yet.

Custom hubs will be coming eventually. Track progress on this issue on github:

You can change the spotlight widget in the hub. Open the hub configuration dialog and choose the "Background" button from the right hand side buttons (the circular ones where close/reset etc. are). Any options which affect the whole hub will appear in the side buttons (i.e. anything which isn't an option specific to the menu item highlighted on the left side)

This should not happen. I assume you've tried restarting Kodi to make sure any old properties from the previous layout are cleared.

Only possible cause I can think of, is that whatever is in your first widget slot is not available - so the hub tries to focus it but it doesnt exist. Make sure whatever is in the top row definitely will have content.

Stacked widgets moved into the hub/home submenus. So you can have, for e.g., a submenu list of channel groups in hub then enable the option to use it as a widget and it will display the highlighted item in the widget below:

And if you enable the option to slide up with the submenu it works well as a selector:
"Skin Settings > Navigation > Widget slide up with submenu"

EDIT: Also I have an idea for a "related" widgets feature coming. These will be similar to stacked widgets but with a bit more advanced filtering e.g. things like TMDbHelper Recommendations based on previous item; or all movies in library with same year/genre/studio and so on.

No. That is a different height. All widgets MUST be the same height in this skin, no exceptions.

All that complicated widget slide code which allowed different widget heights and positioning in AH2 was a massive performance sink and has been entirely stripped out. Widgets now have fixed positioning and all use same height with no exceptions. I need to be able to have reliable coordinates for the transition animations.

I can't seem to find that option. Hub customization is greyed out unless you select a custom hub and from there I still don't see any options for this.

I did make a sports section in the home section that works pretty well. Given the usefulness of the home I like the idea of using the four side options for something 'new' or 'different'. The trakt.tv calendar is a nice touch.

Here is the sports section I made: https://streamable.com/h0jgzk
