nothing to do with the skin, it's normal kodi behavior

use X to stop, for all commands see https://kodi.wiki/view/Keyboard_controls

you can change it with keymap editor in the kodi repo https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Keymap_Editor

ah right, I guess I was so used to the Binge skin - which closed the media item with a backspace, like Netflix does - that I forgot this was standard kodi behavior

Exactly what it says. It allows the submenu widget to then be used for stacking further widgets underneath.

A stacked folder widget (in experimental) shows the content for the item focused in the previous widget ID -- e.g. a stacked folder widget with id=604 shows contents of focused item in widget id=603

Each static submenu item has a widget with its own widget ID. That means a stacked widget underneath will only work for the last submenu widget, not necessarily the current one.

Enabling the option turns the submenu widget into a single container with one ID so that it will work for stacking. The downside is that the container must now reload each time you change the focused item in the submenu because it needs to reuse that same container rather than having its own separate one.

I'm looking to recreate this collection section from a post I've seen on Reddit from flaco_007, but I'm not sure how to do it. I'm pretty much a noob atm. Any help would be grateful.

Wanted to update since I last posted a week or so ago. I made a statement that the progress wheel on episodes/movies was indeed not working except any other version of Kodi other than beta 2 omega. Well today
I made my widgets with tmdb helper addon and everything on 20.3 Kodi progress wheel is dead on/perfect. So by making widgets with my main addon doesn't work properly on Nexus stable Kodi with tmdb helper addon widgets it works perfectly. I see now that this skin is built off tmdb helper addon mainly. And it's really not any slower then what I was using. Great work Jurial. You've cured me of switching from skin to skin on a daily basis. I just go in and fine tune the setup I have with arctic fuse . It's def the skin of the future and the way forward. I absolutely love every aspect of it now that I've gotten used to it. Cheers
I don't know if there is any way to put favorites with a poster view or any other. The only thing I see is that in menu/favorites I enter and my list of favorites appears from top to bottom with very small images. In AH I had a hub linked in the side menu that took me to favorites and a screen appeared in the middle with all the favorites and a poster view of a normal size so I could see it well. Now when I try to create a hub and link to favorites in AF, I don't get the miscellaneous option, which is where Favorites is.

In previous skins, when opening the player, in addition to the subtitle, language, etc. buttons, there was a settings button where the video and audio settings were located, in which you could increase the sound level of Kodi, etc., in Fuse that button does not appear , I see the subtitles, language, information but I don't see the settings. Is it somewhere and I don't see it? Thank you

Have you tried clicking the audio icon...

Thank you very much, I already got it, the truth is that I pressed the language button and when I saw what audio tracks there were I thought they would stay there and there were no more options and I didn't decide to press the OK button again
Kodi nexus 20.3 trying to create a stacked movie recommendation category through experimental. Shortcut/ add-ons /video add-ons/ tmdb addon/movies/recently watched and it keeps failing to create. I'm able to make a widget with my main addon/movies/recently watched but then the experimental stacked movie recommendation widget doesn't work correctly and crashes both widgets. I've accomplished same task on TV shows with tmdb helper widget /recently watched TV shows and TV show stacked recommendation experimental widget and it works perfectly. Any help? I can go into tmdb helper addon/movies/recently watched and it pulls all my recently finished movies. I just don't get it.
Can we have an option to bring back a simple digital clock in the upper left corner? 🙏
Also the time, date & day in the bottom of the options menu? 🙏🙏🙏

I followed the steps you put above, but when I enter the SKINS folder of your repository, I get 3 skins but not that one.

How do I have to get it out and be able to install it? I leave you the image so you can see how it turns out:

The keymap thing to open the wiki page is next level. I love it.

Question: Is there a similar remap I can do that will bring me right to the "Trailers/Videos" related to a title? That would be hardcore. Is it possible? Thanks always for your great work and dedication!

Hi @ambulancePilot,
Can you point me in the direction of 'the keymap thing to open the wiki page' please?
I've done a search, but I can't see the post.

Thanks!

Without a script, no, because you'd need two commands and I think keymap can only have one command.

But it can be done with a very simple python script to first open info and then set focus to the trailer button:

python:

import xbmc
xbmc.executebuiltin('Action(Info)')
xbmc.executebuiltin('SetFocus(4002)')

Just do the same as with the wiki script. Save it as something like trailer_info_focus.py and then map it with RunScript(path/to/file/trailer_info_focus.py)

One thing I was considering is a trailer "dialog" similar to the plot dialog (i.e. press a button, dialog opens similar to plot but with a video window and trailer plays).

There's actually already an option for info dialog to play trailers in a dialog. It would be relatively simple to modify that to work elsewhere if there's interest?

EDIT: Next version you will be able to do the following command to play a trailer for the currently focused item in a dialog box:
xml:

RunScript(script.skinvariables,run_executebuiltin=special://skin/shortcuts/builtins/skinvariables-playtrailer.json,use_rules)

Probably talking about this issue with a little script to open wiki for currently playing artist:
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/script.w...a/issues/5

Can be modified to get other info labels
https://kodi.wiki/view/InfoLabels

But if you just want generic wikipedia with a keyboard to input a search, you don't need any script. Run the wikipedia addon without any arguments and it will prompt you with a keyboard to enter the query

Code:
Runscript(script.wikipedia)
