edit. My bad, I should have looked at the omega version on github. but I can't see it from Kodi, the version is 20.0.1, I don't know why.

Edit2: tried installing "omega" zip but getting: xbmc.gui version 5.16.0 could not be satisfied
How did you get some this error?

The latest version of Arctic Horizon 2 from GitHub reports an installation error on KODI Omega. There is an incorrectly entered value inside this file: addon.xml

For it to work on Omega we need to change addon="xbmc.gui" version="5.16.0" To addon="xbmc.gui" version="5.17.0"

Yes, I can see Fuse in repo, but Horizon 2 will not be displayed until the new version with the corrected addon.xml file

Submitted a pull as per VelimirSaban's post.

Just in case it helps.

(No options to raise issues understajbly as they get flooded with rubbish when it is Kodi related).

I can 100% confirm changing this did the trick for me, was able to update fine after that.

Having a really annoying problem with backup and restore hopefully someone can help.
I have created the perfect customization for AH2 on my Kodi for macOS.
I have installed Kodi on Apple TV 4, installed the backup add-on from the standard respository.
I do a backup of my Kodi from macOS to an SMB share.
I then do a restore to my Apple TV from that SMB share.
Everything works perfect on the restore with no errors BUT after killing Kodi (as requested after the restore) the skin comes up with my customizations after about 3-5 seconds on the top right I get a message saying "Initializing skin" which then resets the AH2 skin back to default out of the box setup with all my customizations gone. It's like its overwriting the settings after the restore.
When I use open wizard it doesn't do this, but has other issues.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

This also happens to me using the Backup Add-on to Backup/Restore on Apple TV, could try a backup/restore of the AH2 folders:

yup tried that as well, but it still overwrites immediately. Very odd. Changing to Arctic Fuse now to see if it also has the same issue. I really don't want to start using all these build options (like ow) and just use the native one.
any ideas?

On Github, jurialmunkey posted the following answer to a backup/restore question:
Quote:No need to backup such a huge file, all you need are the following folders from userdata/addon_data/
skin.arctic.horizon.2
script.skinshortcuts
script.skinvariables
That will cover skin settings, skinshortcuts setup and viewtypes
Not sure if that will work on AppleTV or not but worth a try

So still trying to back up and restore on appleTV - just to make sure its not a "cross-platform" issue, I redid my whole design on an Apple TV, then I did a backup - I tried various options - actual backup and restore of everything, backup and restore of just the addon_data, I even tried copying the files mentioned by jurialmonkey only. The restore was to another Apple TV.
The same thing happens both with Arctic Horizon2 and Arctic Fuze - it completes the restore (all my info is restored, add ons, api keys, etc'). When I restart Kodi - the correct settings for skin appear for a few seconds (it tries to load my different widgets) - after about 3-4 seconds on the top right it says "Initializing Skin" and then gets rid of all my customizations and goes back to the vanilla settings of the skins. Even when I copy the files over again manually it does the same thing.
I don't think this is an Apple TV problem and definitely not a problem of the backup and restore (as I tried copying the needed files manually).
Its something to do with the skin when it initializes it goes back to vanilla state.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Have you tried just going to the settings and setting the skin back to AH2? I’ve seen something that sounds similar on my ATVs and often it just requires manually changing the skin back to AH2 and then all my customizations are back.

yup, tried doing the restore when on estuary and then reverting. tried copying the files when on AH2 and then restarting, still no dice.
just to clarify you are able to backup and restore ah2 with all its widgets on ATV4?
Thanks for your response
