Release TrueHD passthrough - New MAT Packer implementation (merged in master and Omega)
Wonderful work @jogal, your latest build with the 50 maxpassthroughoffsyncduration has worked perfectly, even the MakeMKV sourced file is now working!

I made some logs for your sample and the MakeMKV sample, and even tried the MakeMKV sample a second time, smooth sailing on all.

Wow AMAZING work @jogal, this truly IS a game changer! 100% perfect audio and video with maxpassthroughoffsyncduration 50!
Here's a debug log with maxpassthroughoffsyncduration set to 50 as requested: https://paste.kodi.tv/itimoxajay.kodi

I expected to see video stutters on my Shield with only maxpassthroughoffsyncduration 50, but it seems like your MAT Rework somehow also fixed the video stutter problem that I had!
Now Kodi plays everything completely perfectly for me, awesome work!

I also tried maxpassthroughoffsyncduration 96 and it was perfect as well, so I think I will personally keep it at 96 just to be extra safe. But maxpassthroughoffsyncduration 50 with this MAT Rework seems perfect so far!

With the latest version, there are no interruptions for me either.

I'd like to join in on the fun but the links on the first post are all dead. Where do I find this new Omega test build?

EDIT: Think I found it - https://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/android/arm64-v8a/

EDIT 2: Link is dead there as well.

If you have any audio dropout issues, this build will almost certainly fix it!

All first post links for the Omega builds work perfectly fine here, so they are definitely not dead. But yes can also go to the mirrors test build folder for your Android SoC type and look for the build containing mat-packer-Omega

It must have been temporarily down, as earlier today it said 'server not found'.

Works now though, thanks guys.

Some massive stutters not even a minute into John Wick 4 - https://paste.kodi.tv/cesokayexo

Probably something on my end, but I am posting my log regardless to make sure the MAT Packer build is not at fault.

Something wrong with your log file. I can see ffmpeg instead of CPackerMAT.

I don't see adjustments, besides some Hue plugin which blocks the mainloop for quite long ...
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

I disabled the Hue addon to no avail.

Likely something entirely unrelated then?

To test this build please change <maxpassthroughoffsyncduration>96</maxpassthroughoffsyncduration>

to:

<maxpassthroughoffsyncduration>50</maxpassthroughoffsyncduration>

Also remove/comment:

<video> <latency> <delay>-40</delay> </latency> </video>

Tested John Wick 4 and no issues found.

5 minutes sample:

Note that is very high video bitrate: ~129 Mbit/s

Tried this build with the recommended advancedsettings, using several THD movies, the Cars beginning-of-movie segment, and some high bit-rate "torture test" clips from AVS Forum.
All good.
No other issues with the 22 version either for that matter.
Looks like some great work to me...

Thanks, done: https://paste.kodi.tv/yikuyinuwa

Lots of stuttering going on here, which is clearly something on my end.

Frustrating, because everything used to work seamlessly for years. Perhaps my hardware chain is failing somewhere.

The MAT-Packer rework is clearly not at fault, so I won't be wasting your time here.
