The "Play Movie/Open Seasons Instead Open Info" option is located under the "Video Information" settings. This means that this option refers to the content within the video info dialog. That means it refers to collections, more like this...

As for automatic trailers, there has been no option to open them in fullscreen for a long time. Why it sometimes opens in fullscreen, I really don't know what it could be. I didn't notice that, but I'll look into it a little more when I have time.
Problems with trailers in spotlight is a Kodi problem, not a skin problem. When you play any video, widget is refreshed and automatically switches to the next movie. Any widget that is set to random will have this problem.
Adding a shortcut to submenus works perfectly, you are doing something wrong.

2.The trailer might have been removed a long time ago. I have never used that function and see no point in it. I don't remember half of the stuff that has been removed.

3. The trailer switching has also been addressed multiple time. The only way to fix this is by Kodi to switch how they handle trailers.

4. I just checked and added a network location and everything looks good. I have my icon and naming. I am really not sure.

Instead of Favourites (which I have not used since dark ages as first there was "superfavourites" & now adays we have =) use "Autowidget" addon. See here. 
This is way better & more customizable then just favourites.

I have only one question though because im new to this. I just saw your animated posters and they are great. If i want to use them i suppose i download the animated poster to a specific folder and then from movie info-select artwork i load it from there?

Looks like the maintainer has been diligent with responses. (his question to you "The skin will not work with banned addons.") was not adequately addressed.

The obvious answer is to maintain the default skin, instead of ripping false narratives and making false accusations. Support is trying to help and I didn't see a log link in the past few pages.

You can download animated artwork from here https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=358315&page=34 . Just hit like on the post with the artwork and @Klatue will send you a private message with the password. Just download his animated artwork pack and place them in the correct folders. You would name them like this. If you wanted to place more animated art in the same folder just add a 1, 2, 3 and so on.

I have an additional question though and of course you can answer me when you have  free time. This skin seems to be perfect fitted for my Nvidia Sheild. Its quite "heavy" for my Xiaomi box though. Can you share some tweaks in order to make it a little lighter for low end boxes?  (If there are any)
For a start i have  unticked almost all the "view" types from settings.

Well for sure use playlist instead of skin helper widgets.

I believe @matke has been working on a lighter version and you would really just have to wait until he finishes it up. Other than that the skin is very heavy. It's definitely best used on a machine with power.
