Can confirm, 7.1.1.1-unofficial playback works! 7.1.1.1 playback only works when logged out.

every time i sign into the addon with my YT account the addon becomes unable to play any videos however when I'm signed out i can play videos just fine. I have already made sure it's not an API issue and i changed nothing in the Kodi system but i think the issue might be connected to some google privacy settings i recently changed. Unfortunately i don't remember what exactly i changed. If anyone has an idea what setting it might have been or if it could be from another cause i would be very grateful for a response

. This is also set automatically if you just use the Setup Wizard and choose the h264 only preset, which was created specifically for RPi 1/2 devices.Play from here
change is unlikely to be changed back. It mirrors the way Kodi itself works in respecting the current sort order and starting position in a directory listing. If you want to choose this yourself then you can open the context menu on the folder and choose Play all
rather than opening the folder then selecting Play from here
from the context menu of a video within the folder.Support alternative player
setting does since I created it. Doesn't change the fact that this also needs support from the external player as well, and VLC won't work properly for this while mpv will. The next beta version will make the HLS streams available to external players, which VLC can play.(2024-11-28, 19:16)MoojMidge Wrote: @Chillbo - That is the explicit aim of the unofficial version of the addon. A non-unofficial version will use a video content type as normal. I'll need to check, but the the testing repo should not contain unofficial versions, while the unofficial repo will. As an aside, what skin issues are you seeing?

Hi. That does put any potential H264/mp4 first on the Dash manifest before any VP9/webm, and that's good. The other thing that modification did was to reverse the height preference for VP9, to list the smallest stream heights first and put the biggest stream heights last. @izprtxqkft - It is not straightforward to backport the minimum set of playback related fixes to the currently available version on the Kodi repository, so the larger changeset will take time to make its way through reviews. It is also not broken for everyone. A minimal update just to show a popup is also not helpful - the addon already shows a popup to run the Setup Wizard if needed and most people seemingly just ignore it. Thanks for directing people to newer versions btw.
