At exhibitions like linuxtag or scale (usa) we talk to alot of real users. Last year 80% demanded "PVR". This year 80% said "its fine as is". In the last 3 years by talking to a lot of users - nobody requested anything from maybe 80% of all this feature requests in this forum.
So what does this mean. Are those exhibition visitors (which are just common people!) niche? Or are some users in the forum niche? Its a fact that people who want one feature badly treat it as show stopper for a product like XBMC when it doesn't full fill the request.
And its a fact that whatever users expect from us as open source team in some places is not fullfilled (call it unprofessional customer handling or what not. I call it "my private opinion" and nobody can say anything against it.)
