Can't autoboot inte XBMC
#1
Hi there folks.

im sorta a newbee in the linux world so go easy on me. I have ubuntu 10.10 Maverick installed on my HTPC in which i have XBMC installed on. I want to be able to boot into XBMC session without loging in into ubunu and then opening XBMC. I know that i can go to the login screen settings and choose to autologin in the XBMC from the options there, but my problem is that i dont have that option. all i can see is Ubuntu userdefined version, recovery mode and so forth. How can i add XBMC session in that window so that i can choose it in the Login screen?

thanx a bunch

never mind, i found the solution.

You must boot into gnome. And than select "system > Management > Synaptic packetmanagement" and search for "xbmc". Then scroll down untill you see "XBMC standalone" mark the package and install it. After this you'll have to logout and select "XBMC" from the sessions.
