I am using the xbmc pvr branch and I encountered some problems while using the cropping option and subtitles. Basically the problem is that the words that were displayed on the black bars weren't showed at all. I guess that they were overlapped by some new black bars.

Sometimes I saw few parts of letters, because it was displayed on the video and not on the black bars.

I haven't had time to dig more, but I encountered this problem while using pvr with a tvheadend backend. So I am not sure if it is only related to the pvr branch or not.

So it is not related to xbmc-pvr if I believe the developer. I will try to get a video black bars to test more.
