I did some testing and I found out that you just need to tunnel release.theplatform.com* through a proxy to get CBS working outside the US. It will not actually tunnel the scraping.

EDIT: I found a proxy and got CBS working again. So I decided to try messing with some of the other stations. I used bluecop's post #323 and found that line in TVLand and theCW and changed it to the 4 or so lines that include the proxy. It looked promising but no go.. Just for fun here is a few pastebin's in case you were curious.

I haven't played around with it very much but some of the RTMP-servers are using geo-block themselves so that wouldn't work. I'll get back soon once I have done some more testing.

Keep it up Bluecop. I tried one of the latest versions on the Xbox and works perfect (long time to scrape but it works!). I'm loving all the releases with added channels. We appreciate the dedication and money savings you are passing on to us.

So the newer version thats in the repo works with Xbox? That would make my day!
EDIT: Nevermind, just made it home from work and installed free cable from the repo and it works great! Thanks Bluecop for keeping us with the Xbox in mind

why do some of these not work on atv2. Like spike amd fx. I have updated the rtpm file. can you have a feature that turns off the channels that dont work on atv2 and only shows working channels. Sucks checking the channels and then finding it doesnt work or have guests come over and they think it doesnt work.

Sorry if its been asked but, I have Hulu working on ATV2, and videos play, but when watching a movie last night, it stopped half way through the movie.
Is this a problem with Hulu??

i rarely experience stream drops. when I do it is ussually caused by bandwidth issues. it isn't good at recovering from low bandwidth situations. You can always skip back to where you were if a stream drops. just enter the time and press enter or skip around with the directionals.
if you experience alot of drops try lowering the bitrate in the settings.

you could use a remote that uses the web interface. my iphone xbmc remote letsnme drag the stream to skip where ever i want.
also you can install btstack and use a bluetooth keyboard for more control over xbmc on atv2. I am sure there are more options but those just come to mind.

With regards to the proxy outside the us - I'd like to help. Trying to get tbs to work - it doesn't on my atv2 - but works fine on my computer.

Is version 1.0.3 the latest version with Star Trek, Bravo, HGTV and food network? This is the version I have from the repo (unless It is not updating for me). Bluecop, when you say you added or committed the changes do we automatically get a new download from the repo or are you referring to a development version that we would have to manually grab to see those new changes?
