Hello all,

I've been trying the export functions in XBMC and I have to admit, it doesn't work for me at all. Not all the images from my movies and album libraries are exported, the structure is a bit messed up. Either option I use.
Also, I'm using Advanced Launcher for my retro games.

So I was wondering, If I copy the complete XBMC folder (users/appdata/roaming/xbmc) would that be a complete backup of my set up? The whole library in every section.
Would it be possible to install XBMC on a different laptop and add my XBMC dir to that laptop, will it then be a complete copy of my current set up?

I've done it on my mac in the same way and it does work as you described, but i'm unsure whether it is recommended.

Yes, that's a perfectly good way to backup your XBMC state.
