New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread)
@ DanCooper - Also hoping for some more information on YAMJ settings/artwork that was discussed previously, now that 1.3.0.10 is done.

See post #2716 please, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help test, etc.

Thanks for all your hard work!

Sorry to disturb your discussion - just some newbee-questions... Angel

I thought, i can manage it out without asking, but bad luck. Tongue I use Ember now for quite a while and it did its job always more or less, but i always had problems to install it. Now i wanted to install the new version 1.3.0.10 and i get a lot of errors.

For example:
Quote:Title: Error
Message: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.
StackTrace: bei EmberScraperModule.EmberTMDBScraperModule.InjectSetupPostScraper()
bei Ember_Media_Manager.dlgSettings.AddScraperPanels()
bei Ember_Media_Manager.dlgSettings.AddPanels()
bei Ember_Media_Manager.dlgSettings.frmSettings_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e)

I think its not necessary to install Ember, i just extracted the zip-file -- correct? Huh

I use a standard win7-system, logged in as a user.
For the code first i took a place somewhere in the users-directory, like it was the case for the old Ember (pre emm-r). --> no good.
Then i built a directory in the programs-folder. --> no good.
And at last i built a directory directly in the system-partition with all rights for everyone, but now still there are problems. And there are also differences when i start the program as administrator.

--> So the question is: is there a installation-guide for dummies? Big Grin

The second question would be:
I always had problems with the genres - i wanted to create my own genres, but it was only possible to rename already existing genres. very dirty... Nod but till now working. Now all this genres does not exist any more. Do you think this problem has something to do with my installing-problems?

Thanks in advance for the information! And sorry for bringing up such basic things...
And also sorry for my bad english - i don't use it often. Tongue

I have the same problems with genres, I will check and see where they are stored.
Have you copied your old settings to the new installation? If thats the case try to start new version without importing any old settings and database and see if the error remains.

You have to disable the XML scraper, then it works.

Edit: But does not work properly.
One question: Why did so many image formats enabled? Do you really all that? You used not just XBMC?

DanCooper,
for series is it mandatory: Season01
or it could be Season 01
with the space?

also I have Season 00 for the specials, is it ok?

Season 01 works 100%, i think Season01 also.

I think the folder names do not play such a big role. The important thing is the label of the files.
so the -poster and -fanart can be with the space?
Season 01-poster

no, only the folders can have spaces.

ouch Sad bad
I have to rename all Sad

TO add clear art and logo it will require A LOT of work,
as all the core procedures that handle images have to be updated.

Now I will finish the standard items then will see if we can add them

All the bug fixes I requested have been fixed. Any ETA on the next release?
HELP Needed:
I'm implementing the image scraper from FANART TV for movies.

I need a help to understand where you want to map the different images.
I do suggest to use AVATAR as an example as it does have all of them.

I need to understand what you want as a poster and what as a fanart, other types will be added later as I was writing before

here is my suggestion
HD Movie Logos -> for later use
ClearLOGOs -> for later use
ClearART -> Fanart
HDClearART -> Fanart
cdART -> for later use
Movie Backgrounds -> Fanart
Movie Banner -> Poster
Movie Thumbs -> Fanart

Is it correct?

M

If it doesn't work well for you using single-digit, the Bulk Renamer Utility could VERY quickly help you rename all of your folders to include the extra digit.

Thanks. I am still finding things not quite working, rather frustrated at these Frodo changes.

Most of the artwork on fanart.tv does not map to the artwork types that we currently scrape with Ember; they are new types used by various skins such as Aeon and MQ to name a couple examples.

HD Movie Logos -> logo.png (choose this first)
ClearLOGOs -> logo.png (use this as a backup if no HD Logo in the lanaguage specified)
ClearART -> clearart.png (use this as a backup if no HD ClearArt, in the language specified)
HDClearART -> clearart.png (choose this first)
cdART -> disc.png
Movie Backgrounds -> Fanart (this is the only fanart.tv artwork that might overlap with 'typical' artwork scraping from IMDB/TMDB)
Movie Banner -> Banner (not poster - Frodo supports both now, <moviename>-poster.jpg/png and <moviename>-banner.jpg/png or poster.jpg/png and banner.jpg/png)
Movie Thumbs -> landscape.png

Special note - the Logos and ClearArts are language-specific and should be tagged with the appropriate language. Will want to have a setting allowing users to specify a language so as not to get a bunch of foreign-language artwork.

Here's how I adhere to the naming convention (I keep TV as simple as possible and let XBMC scrape everything). Italicized artwork comes from Fanart.TV

Alias
poster.jpg
banner.jpg
fanart.jpg
landscape.png
logo.png
clearart.png

season01-banner.jpg
season01-poster.jpg
season01-fanart.jpg
season01-landscape.jpg
season-all-banner.jpg
season-all-poster.jpg
season-all-fanart.jpg
season-all-landscape.jpg
season-specials-banner.jpg
season-specials-poster.jpg
season-specials-fanart.jpg
season-specials-landscape.jpg

-Season 00
--Alias S00E01.mpg
-Season 01
--Alias S01E01.mpg
--Alias S01E02.mpg

I noticed that Ember seems to be stripping two fields (these came from another media editor).

The first is the <set> tag. I would like to see Ember be able to scrape this field from TMDB.

The second is the <TMDBID> tag. Might also be a good thing to populate in the nfo, as a backup for the <ID> tag (IMDB ID).

Can anyone else confirm this behavior?

I think landscape is always without 0:
season1-landscape.jpg
season8-landscape.jpg
season10-landscape.jpg

We need the same style like downloading with the XBMC plugin.
