I'm probably just tired, but dumb question... how do I exit without force closing the app? So many buttons... none say exit (not exit xbmc, exit Yatse Widget?).

Well this is an android app there's no exit button if the system need resources it will kill the app.
Plus the app needs to run to update notifications and widgets

Hehe, anyway I've noticed that volume control on my HTC Explorer is ~2px tall on Yatse Remote. I guess there is no space to show it on Explorer.

Krischan_HH I'm not sure this information is easily available from current JSON but I'll check.

zbuzanic : Yes currently very small screen can't display all :p I'm seeing how I can change things but if I don't find easy way it will be as this until 3.0 and full change of the this remote part.

Apologies if already discussed.. I have 2 questions..
#1 - The home button doesn't take you back home always.. Say you are in music and then go into movies. If you hit the home button it will take you back to music. If you hit the home button again, then it will go home. If you do this same process using the web remote it takes you home when you hit home.. This remote seems to take you back to the last library you were in first.
#2 - When playing music/video, etc the buttons at the top of the remote screen change.. Is it possible to get the other buttons to show? (buttons that do quick links to home, movies, music, etc. Also is there a description of what the buttons do when playing media.. I'm referring to the buttons that look like a computer screen with 3 dots, a button with 4 arrows pointing to the corners and the other 2 buttons.. I've checked the official webpage, but it didn't go into details what these buttons are for.

Great App, one question with the call plugin, can you make it check that playback is paused before pausing? For example if you manually pause playback then make a call or receive one it starts playback again.
thanks

buckweet :
1 - I use standard home command I'll check if something have changed and there's new way to do
2 - Not enough room to show all
about the buttons they are quite explicit and you can click them to see what they do it won't kill your TV :p but well it's : Show OSD / Change ratio / rotate audio / rotate subtitles

No I can't, this would delay a lot your phone ringing or calling when waiting for timeouts to reach Xbmc and this is unacceptable.

maybe you can auto disable the call plugin everytime someone press the pause button in YATSE and auto enable it after pressing the play button

No
A media can be pause by 500 different ways
typically play / pause from the notification use the same API as the plugin.
And the plugin is one way only it can't get status back.

I use the standard JSON Api Player.GetItem
But this is a quite common problem in a lot of plugins
it seems the way plugins tells now playing data to Xbmc does not correctly work in some case for Json.
While in Eden with the http api the data returned was correct.

Plugins don't explicitly tell XBMC the now playing data. Plugins deliver a list of ListItems which can have a playable URL and some metadata like icon, label, artist etc. On Audio-Streams XBMC ignores the metadata coming from the listitems and takes it from the stream.
Can you give me the full json Request the app sends in the case of XBMC Audioplayer is playing a stream?
