dtsma tag changed in Eden?
#1
Hi All,

Just installed Eden Beta 1. Now all my movies that have a audio codec tag of 'dtsma' in the nfo file are no longer displaying the DTS Master HD icon when viewing a movie.

I do not think this is skin related as it happens in multiple skins. In aeon mq3 I just have no audio icon (still have the 5.1 icon) and in Aeon Nox, I have a ? for the audio, and in Confluence there is no icon.

The regular DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby True HD icons all still display fine.

Anyone else experience this? have any thoughts?

It also looks like my video codec tags for vc1 and avc no longer work. mpge2video still works in video codec tag.

Also the aspect ratio tag is no longer displaying.

bump. Is no one else noticing this?

Is there an easy way to rollback to Dharma? A reinstall does not quite seem to work.

Thx.

I don't have any files to check this but I'm guessing XBMC is labelling them differently and we need to update our skins.

I don't know. Seems strange that this would change. Especially given that it is only the dtsma value for the audio codec tag that is no longer working.

And the aspect tag no longer seem to work either.

What do you mean you don't have any files to check? Can't you use any movie and just change the nfo file tags?

I need a sample file that has DTS Master HD so I can check how XBMC is extracting it?

EDIT: According to the info label list it's 'dtshd_ma' and Confluence has this flag -

I'm not sure that is required for what I am talking about. The issue seems to be reading of the movie nfo file. All of my files are actually 1:1 bluray rips to mkv. With Hd audio converted to flac.

I use my metadata tool to then change the audio from flac to whatever it was on the bluray.

It is the value of dtsma in the movie's nfo file that no longer is being recognized. In dharma I would see a dts master hd icon, in Eden there is none.

Code:
<audio>
                <codec>dtsma<\codec>
           <\audio>

Other audio codec values are still displaying is what makes this so strange.

Same with the aspect tag. Aspect ratio is no longer displaying.

I just tried with dtshd_ma and that does indeed work. Why would this change? Now one needs to go and update all the tag values for all their dts master movies and then reload them all in xbmc.

Not to mention I still cannot figure out why the aspect tag is no longer working. Is the tag longer called aspect?

Looks like vc1 now needs to be vc-1. Wonder why the old values were not grandfathered in.
