What is this error? The program does not load or run.

"XBMCerror Capplication:Sad)failed check log file and that it is writable"

Where is this log located? This is a new computer. The motherboard is an ASUS P8H67-M Pro, the processor is an Intel Core [email protected] Ghz
8Gb Ram.
On board 7.1 sound, and HD video

I haven't a clue as to where I start on this one.

I am using XP Pro SP3, which I have been using with XBMC since I began using it, 2 years....The MB went up in smoke, so had to replace it with a new one, one that wasn't 7 years old, P4C800E

Where are you running XBMC from?

How did you install it?

What are you clicking on to get it to run?
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

This is usually because the proper video drivers aren't installed. To get the debug log press Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:

"%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log"

(including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.

I thank JHSRennie for the hint of drivers. I went back through the drivers install, and bingo, all is well now. I had gone through it before, but the ASUJS drivers had not installed.Got it now, thanks
