I tried to post this in another forum but it said I didn't have permission.
Anyway, I have numerous DTS files....some play perfectly with passthrough and others are being sent as PCM and play as stereo only.
If I open my working passthrough DTS files in Audacity I can see 6 mono channels. The ones that don't work open up as a single stereo track.
If I play the stereo track in Audacity it's just static noise. If I open them in VLC they playback (albeit in Stereo).
I installed a Utility called mediainfo and these "non-working" DTS files are reported as having 6 channels. So my question is ...what are these files exactly? And how can I decode them to 6 separate wav files so I can re-encode them using Surcode back to a DTS format my receiver understands.
Thanks!
