ok before it was all easy i just went to my xp and selected share this internet connection. and xp would set my internal ip to 192.168.0.1, and my xbox was set to 192.168.0.2.
i was able to do everything even connect to the net from my xbox.
now i have a static ip. i am able to ftp to my xbox ( i just changed the last digits of the xbox ip.)
but i am unable to conenct to the net via my xbox and unable to connect to my smb shares ( i did reconfigure my xml file to point to my pc's ip).
why can't i connect to my smb shares after changing the right ip?
in evox, the default gateway/dns servers/subnet mask, should they be the same as what shows up in my ipconfig?
thanks
