Good day, all.

I have a fairly large audio collection. Additionally, we use HTTP control via iRule to run my HTPC. The only gripe I have with XBMC is the need to scroll through all of the stuff. In order to go to the "G" or "W" songs, with most systems you type "G" or "W". Is there a skin, plugin, anything that allows this to happen?

I know that you can hold SHIFT+G and go to the G's, but that's where the iRule problem kicks in. I can't figure out the HTTP command for SHIFT+(alphaCharacter).

Any help would be appreciated.

There isn't a way to send modified keys through the HTTP API. I'm afraid I can't think of an easy way to solve your problem.

On my list of things to do is to look at the text input with HTTP and the EventClient, and maybe add a text input option to the JSON API.
