Nope. If AS doesn't find the file when it starts downloading artwork, it will create an empty one. I decided to create the empty one so if you decided to use it you didn't have to remember what the name needed to be. I honestly believe I'm about the only one actually using them, but that's the advantage to being the programmer. Sometimes you add a feature because you want it.
