Hey Guys,
This post is more for information for those of you who have gone with the Gigabyte motherboard for their HTPC solution.
I couldn't work out why my new build wouldn't stream, let alone simply play HD video in XBMC smoothly.
Simple solution: Open XBMC > Go into settings > video > playback tab > render settings, change to DXVA2. > enable hardware acceleration >>> done!
Hope this helps.
For reference, my setup is as follows:
Gigabyte E350N-USB3
8GB (2 X 4GB) DDR3 DIMM (240 pin) 1333Mhz PC3 10600 / PC3 10666 9-9-9-25 1.5v 8 GB KIT
OCZ Technology 60GB Vertex Plus Series SATA 3Gb/s 2.5" Solid State Drive
Envizage MTX-003B Black Mini ITX Case with 300W PSU
Win7 Ultimate x64 - XBMC Eden, RC2
