Changing XBMC_HOME at runtime
#1
Hi,

I am on Windows and need to run multiple, separated instances of XBMC each contained with their own settings. The default home is in the users folder, but I need to specify a different path. Is it possible to change the XBMC_HOME with a precompiled binary?

Thanks!

Did some more Googling and figured it out. You need to start XBMC.exe with the -fs and -p options.

Cheers!

-p should be enough for the "portable mode" (that's what it's called) as -fs only specifies that it should start in fullscreen (which can also be set in XBMC's settings).
