Please tell me the difference between IMDB and IMDBfull
Well, if you were comparing the two you would see the diff.

Anyhow, full scrapes from this page:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0322259/reference
while the "normal" is from here
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0322259/

Having some troubles when using the Universal Movie Scraper for my movies. Every movie is stored almost perfectly, except that they all are missing the year information (released)... Is this a known issue or does anyone know how to fix this? I'm using The MovieDB for everything except "summary" (the option after tagline) where I use Rotten Tomatoes (also tested with IMDb and not difference). Using SV as language for plot and tagline, everything else is EN.

Pastbin of when trying to update the information for a movie. The result is that the year is set to "not available" in kodi and as 1601 when looking at the movie info through the web interface.

Another, might be unrelated to this scraper, when trying to use SV as the language for movie sets name. A lot of movie sets are not added, for example Batman Collection. Only sets that actually have a SV translation seems to get added. Had the same issue with the default The MovieDB scraper today. It worked previously with SV as language for the sets but not today.

@Tobbie94

Your log is no good. You have not enabled Debug mode and looks like you removed bits.

  1. Enable Debugging mode. Go to Settings>System Settings>Logging and it should be the first option
  2. Restart Kodi
  3. Replicate the problem. Remove one movie with the Year problem and re-scrape
  4. Upload the results and link back here.
Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs

Thanks for the log, it really helped. The year issue was related to have "keep original" as tmdb title language , hence many others (including me) haven't experienced the issue.
Re the set issue, that one was just a "not enough" testing bug... Smile

Both hopefully are fixed with tmdb common scraper library v3.0.3.

UMS v5.0.0 (_Leia only_) now supports scraping extra artwork: clearlogo, clearart, movie banner, movie landscape, discart.

@olympia . I am having issues with some spanish films. I have configured UMS for spanish language scrapping and using IMDB as the backend.

This film: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083859/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

1. The filename is "Dulces horas (1982)".

2. The film is corrently identified in IMDB.

3. In the library, it shows the title in english like "Sweet hours" instead of the original film name "Dulces horas" (original in Spanish)

4. The release date is "0". Zero.

Just an example, I have others.

Thanks!.

Gosh, IMDb is crap, I will look at it anyway... or remove the whole thing once for all. Btw, have you tried tmdb sources?

Pfew, OK, so there are a couple of mixed issues here.
  • It is not possible to get release date from imdb (due to its format), do the scraper gets it from tmdb regardless of any settings. Issue with this particular movie (Dulces Horas) was that although it is existing on tmdb, the imdb id was not registered as external id (I added this already so this movie scrapes fine now). The only way to fix this to revert imdb scraping to the depreciated "year" tag, instead of release date, but I am not sure this is a good approach.
  • For the same issue there was no poster fetched from imdb
  • Presumable issue is the same for your other movies, so please check if those are having imdb id registered on tmdb (those must be quite obscure movies, like this one Smile )
  • There was an issue with plot outline scraping, this I fixed in a scraper update
  • The title is again something what is not solvable... How could the scraper know that the original title is the Spanish title? In the past imdb layout there was a trick to try to workaround this, but with the new layout that is not possible. Not sure if IMDb can be edited by anyone. If yes and you add the Spanish title in addition to the original title, it will be ok. Or else, scrape title from tmdb Wink

Could you please add option for Estonian language?

For some reason, this scraper is unable to find an IMDB entry for "Kung Fury" (2015).  The movie is listed on IMDB, but no manual search iteration will retrieve it.

Hi shucknet

If you have found the movie on IMDB, then create a parsing nfo as detailed here. Should take you less than 30 seconds to do. Rescrape and it is all done.

It won't even return the proper results when I manually search for it.  The 2015 Kung Fury isn't returned even when I manually search for "Kung Fury 2015."  I realize I can force it with an nfo file, but it would also seem to be an issue with the data fetching if it can't find it with the exact title and year that matches the IMDB entry.

Well I had trouble finding it on IMDB.
