No Menu Sound because of Audio Source autodetection
#1
Hi,

at the moment i have a little not critical problem.
I have a HTPC (yavdr) with an optical sound output connected to a teufel decoder station 5 that auto detects the sound format (Stereo, DTS, etc).
My Problem is now that when i navigate in the xbmc menu and there is no constant sound (like a movie running in the back) i cant hear the sound. Because my sound receiver tries to detect the type of sound (the short click when you navigate) that takes a while and when the sound is gone he is ready to play.
But then when there is no sound during the moment i dont navigate he switches back to "no signal".
This is repeated again and again.
So is it possible to send out a carrier signal or something else so that my receiver as long as im not playing anything he thinks he receives a stereo signal even if no sound is present all the time?

regards sebastian
