I appreciate that this query is subjective but i'm looking for a hardware/software steer.
Some background: I've used XBMC for years and love it primarily for playing movies from my NAS.
I started with a PC which I found awkward, unreliable, slow, cumbersome and noisy. I then went to a ATV2 which is superb and does the job well IMO.
Now, having recently dumped Sky and watching the XBMC PVR development, I'm thinking of building a PC to give me the equiv of XMBC with PVR freeview.
Therefore what i would like is some suggestions of the simplest and most appropriate way to go and any potential shortfalls or hurdles.
