Linux Atom D525 & XBMC CPU load
#1
Just a very quick question:

What is the load for a standard install with XBMC?
Currently i have 20 to 30% while playing a 1080P bluray.

Nvidia driver is installed.

Linux = Opensuse 12.2 64bit (completely up to date)
XBMC = Latest GIT clone with latest pvr addons clone.

I am new to linux so maybe I am talkiin rubbish Smile

I installed my XBMCbuntu while back and (as usual) played with various setting...
Then I noticed pretty high CPU load in idle and even more when watching movies.

In my case it was vertical sinc option that was set to auto.

Now it is on "always on" and everthing is ok.

I have i3 and never get pass 10-15%

btw your hv acceleration is on?

I am playing by my D525 atom and ION2 with VDPAU.
That is when it is playing video 22%

The visualisation when playing music or streams (also music) then it goes to 90%.
Probably a setting, not yet researched.
