XBMC showing 720p movies as 480?
#1
Hey guys I recenty added a bunc of 720p movies that are showing up as 480p. Well some show 720 and some are 480 but I can definitely confirm they are all 720. Any idea why this might happen? Any XML file I can tweak to drop the reso slightly so it picks these up I assume the vertical reso might be like 718 and not 720 or something?

Only way I know, would be to add keywords to file names.

ie: Batman Begins (2005).mp3.dvd.480p.mp4

I'm not sure why you are super bothered by it but if it's because you have playlists for your HD movies perhaps just lower the requirement to like 700+

Run one of them through MediaInfo and post the results here.

Unless you're confusing 720x480 resolution with 720p

That definitely works? I'll give it a go tonight, will that mean having to rescrape my library?

It's just an OCD thing mostly but I would like to fix it how do I lower the requirement though? Either through settings or editing XML files lol.

Definitely 720p rips resolution does vary though which makes me think that it quite 720 just a few pixels short in resolution

It wont be because it's just under 720 pixels in height. Please post info from the file.
