Bug 2 Ch 24/192 and HDCD Coded Audio Files won´t play correct in Frodo Beta 1
#1
Hi,

Sorry if the issue was posted bevor or is already known.
i´ve a Problem with 2ch 24Bit/192khz Flac Files. There are Gaps during the Playback. In Alpha7 the Files played correctly.
The 5Ch 24/96 File plays correctly.
There is also a Problem with HDCD Coded Audio Tracks (also in Alpha 7), the Receiver is permanently switching between 2ch PCM and HDCD during the playback.

Here´s a debug log.Link

Cheers

Same here, XBMCbuntu 12.1:

HDCD bitstreamed to a Denon receiver over HDMI -> switching from 2ch pcm to HDCD all the time.
In video, all formats work perfectly (DTS, Dolby, HD formats, no problem)

Also sometimes I lose audio in the music player when it's loading the next track

Hi,

Sorry to revive this fairly old thread, but I just wanted to report good news!

I have also been suffering this problem with HDCD since AE was introduced (I believe it was). With introduction of ActiveAE this issue seems to have been fixed. I can now play HDCD FLACS, my receiver will indicate HDCD is active, and music will no longer drops out every few seconds.

Tested with Debian 6.0.7 (oldstable), Gotham_alpha8 (also verified with even more recent nightly build), AE_ENGINE=ACTIVE
Coax SPDIF connected to Rotel RSP-1066 HDCD receiver.
