XBMC CD1 CD2 Problem
#1
Hi Guys,

I got a problem with dvd iso files.

There are 2 movies.

The Lord of the rings the return of the king
Filenames:
The.Lord.of.the.Rings.The.Return.of.the.king.cd1.iso
The.Lord.of.the.Rings.The.Return.of.the.king.cd2.iso

Kingdom of Heaven
Filenames
Kingdom.of.Heaven.cd1.iso
Kingdom.of.Heaven.cd2.iso
Kingdom.of.Heaven.cd3.iso

The Lord of the rings is recognized just fine, both cds work great and are played back one after the other.

Once I select the movie Kingdom of Heaven and start it only cd1 is played back.
The cds are mpeg2 encoded.

Any Ideas on how to make kingdom of heaven work?

read this also http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=138640

Alternatively probably would have extract the iso's and use some .avi tool like Virtualdub to merge cd3 into cd2 but if you have to do that may as well just have 1 files...

This is assuming you have stacking enabled on the side menu in xbmc as well.

I just noticed that all 3 iso parts are recognized...the thing is that only cd1 is played back.
Gona try the approach from the other thread you posted.

It could be a limitation on stacking .iso files because they are not technically movie files .avi .mkv etc. I wouldn't know about that just a comment.

Ive added the forum link to the wiki article for discussion, as it seems a quick google shows more than a handful of thread opened about similar things.

Yeah i read most of them.
Looks like it is a problem with iso stacking.
I am only able to play one iso at a time, once a part is finish i end up at the library menue again.
Rescanning the whole library without success

Edit:

Just noticed that lord of the rings experiences the same issue now...only first iso being played...
Strange...

Please collect and attach a XBMC debug log that shows the problem, see http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=HOW-TO_Submi...Bug_Report

No one can even guess what your problem is without information like that.

FYI the http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=File_stacking explains stacking is limited so read it it says for movie files only, idk if this includes .iso only a developer or someone that knows more than me would be able to clarify that

Either way just a description of problem wont help anyone reading this.

Had a similar problem a while back. I noticed the stack was all screwy (broken links) in the mysql db so I just deleted the movie from my library then rescanned. That fixed it for me. No clue when or how the stack got messed up in the db though. May or may not be the same issue you are seeing.
