Hi
I'm testing Tvheadend with a Raspberry Pi. PVR support is buggy to say the least. Will this improve? The device has improved much perfomancewise in the latest releases. Not sure if this is the right place to ask. Is the problem related to the PVR part or to the Raspberry player?

Depends on what the bug is

The "bugs" are.
1. No picture at all when selecting/changing channel. Somtimes there is audio. Another channel change somtimes solves this.
2. If I've got picure the format is bad. 4:3 on 16:9 content.
3. Grey blocks on HD channels. Sometimes more sometimes less.
Runnign XBMC on a PC works as it should.

1&2 sounds like the hw decoder getting the wrong params. 3 sounds like a performance issue.
got full debug logs in which these issues occur?

Sorry for the delay. Any link to turning debugging on and where loggs are saved? Why is PVR more performancehungry then just playing a movie? Streaming 1080P over SMB actually works well.

The interesting part is that running via htsp string works fine.

As of nightly 26/12 Tvheadand addon works. Grey blocks on 720P TV-streams still occur. Checked the CPU usage when playing this content. It is around 40%. Also problem with aspect ratio. Everything is presented as 4:3. You have to set it to 16:9.

They black screen problem is back again. Versions from 3/12 and forward don't work anymore.

we've identified the cause of the issue, but nobody has come up with a fix yet. probably won't make it before the frodo release
