Does anyone know if it's possible to store the entire cddb or freedb for offline use?

I ask because I want to set up either a raspberry pi or sff pc with xbmc which (after initial setup) will not have internet access. I would like to have the ability to rip an audio cd and be able to download the track listings.

I understand if it is possible then I will have to update the database regularly, that is not a problem.

In theory, it's possible. XBMC can be pointed to another db address easily enough. It's just getting a copy of the DB that I have no idea about.

It can be downloaded from the freedb site.

After christmas i'm going to try redirecting freedb traffic to 127.0.0.1 and setting up a webserver.
