Just out of curiosity... did you just update (your ITV Add-on)?

Thanks.

It wasn't working this morning, I tried it again this afternoon and it was working again. It could have auto-updated. My installed version is 2.2.5, I have no idea what version was installed yesterday.

I say it is working. It works on my Ubuntu desktop, but not on my RPI 2. On live I get video but no sound.

I just updated ITV to version 2.2.5 (and reset the add-on settings to default) on my RPi2 running OpenELEC 6.0 (Kodi 15.2) for testing...

ITV1/2/3 and ITVBe Live seem to play fine in SD with audio and video (I often have to re-try several times to get a working stream).
ITV4 Live plays "Programme not available on this platform" video (off the air) - working this morning.
CITV Live plays "back in the morning at 6" video (off the air) - working this morning.

ITV Player (Catchup) also appears to be working as well.

I believe the recent update addresses changes to the ITV Player (web site) moving to a beta version (in preparation of migration to the new ITV HUB).

It works perfectly on my Ubuntu PC and my 3 RPI Model Bs, just not on my RPI 2. So it is obviously an issue at my end. I will have to have a little play with it later.

Would you mind sharing with us where you found the itv add-on 2.2.5?

According to my plug-in, the most recent version is 2.2.21

Thanks

There is a link to a ZIP file in post 269 of this thread. There is a repo available but I don't think it is allowed on these forums.

Please replace it with PLAYER_CORE_AUTO. Specifying a specific player from an add-on is not correct and the author should fix this.

@popcornmix, thanks Blush for clarification on updated string to utilse which was not very clear at the time within Martijn thread you pointed me too?

I just tested and working fine with latest #1120 OpenELEC Testbuild on my RPi2 and edited change within line 412 of F4MProxy.py held in /storage/.kodi/addons/plugin.video.itv

F4MProxy.py line 412 -- PLAYER_CORE_AUTO was PLAYER_CORE_DVDPLAYER

Code:
xbmc.Player(xbmc.PLAYER_CORE_AUTO ).play(url, listitem)

Wish I had necessary skills to ressurect ITV Player add-on like other Kodi users did recently with new iplayer WWW thus ensuring availabilty of a fully working and updated ITV Player add-on, which can once again be installed by Kodi users, directly from Kodi add-on repository.

Thank you, much appreciated! (did not see that link when reading through the articles).

Edit: my bad, all is good!

This add-on no longer works with master/Krypton builds. This patch fixes it:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/14385761/

and should be fine for earlier releases.
Krypton no longer supports requesting a player from an add-on (it has been deprecated for years).
Requesting MPLAYER as the required video player is clearly wrong.

I applied all changes suggested in the thread, to version 2.2.6, but I'm still having problems. The dialogue box stating "opening stream" does not disappear, it stays in focus on top of the stream. I'm using Conq skin.

Any ideas?
