So I was going to switch from using Linux mint to using windows 7, is there any way to transfer all my xbmc settings over, or are the operating systems so different that I'll need to just remember them and redo it after install?

Most stuff in the userdata (wiki) folder is okay to copy on over cross different OSes/platforms. If the file paths for videos in your library have changed then that will complicate things, but the settings themselves should be fine.

Yeah the library paths will change because I'm also installing a ssd boot drive, but I will go through the user data folder and copy some important things, thanks
