Linux How to enable Zacate E-450 video acceleration on linux??
#1
Question
Hi all!!

I recently downloaded OpenElec and installed on an AMD Zacate E-350, and if works as a charm!! This distribution is a light linux optimized for AMD Zacate plattform, and as I say, works great out of the box.

Now I've install Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon, and HD videos doesn't work Ok, even installing XBMC. I would like to run XBMX on cinnamon and have the same good working that OpenElec provides.

So, question is? How can I configure Linux Mint to support hardware acceleration decoding?? I've try to install drivers downloaded from AMD website, running:

sudo sh <amd driver>.run

But not only are still slow, but also in fullscreen I've constant black flashes.... Sad

Any help?

Many thanks in advance

First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
