While IPTV is buggy, we using HeadEnd via http for TV. BUT before every channel we
forced to waiting - buffering....
advancedsettings.xml helping only until config changes (for example, just simply screen calibration
enought)
After that - xbmc ignoring this file.. It is so sad.
In the same manier do Openelec, Raspbmc and Xbian.
Is is sad too...

tvheadend for the Raspberry Pi is broken. Known issue. Devs are working on it.

But are You sure, that Screen Calibration option which causes buffering, is bug but not a some feature ?
You know, like a auto feature for video viewing optimisation which depends on screen resolution and desided
to buffer ?

For me it is not helping.
My Live TV so buggy, so i using TVHeadend via Video - Files - and shortcut to my Headent server IP
