I started looking into the specifics of the Sky News stream, as it appears that's the only one you attempted to play.
It appears that the Sky News stream used is rather bizarre.
According to ffmpeg it has 5 "streams", one unknown, one video at variable H264, and finally 3 audios at aac.
It appears this configuration confuses some media players, as VLC refuses to show video only sound.
ffplay (part of ffmpeg) plays it fairly well.
As you stated it plays on Windows but not the RasPi (tested on RasBMC).
You could probably mess with external players or something for the RasPi but it probably would be easier to use some of the random alternative links online for Sky News.

here are my logs:

http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=58920 with the latest librtmp.so.
Thanks in advance.
Can you explain a little further exactly what is expected to happen with the addon and what is occurring instead?
I ask all this because the log files don't seem to state anything what so ever about librtmp so I doubt that actual file has anything to do with it.

It appears to install just fine. But when I try to execute the app, it crashes almost immediately. And the apl next oldest shown here will not even install (even after uninstalling the XBMC entirely). No idea why. Any suggestions?
What I believe I am going to have to do is look and see what newer APK's have been released as I think they are getting outdated and folks with newer Android OS's are having issues.
It's difficult to keep up due to 13.0 and HWAcell all being in beta, which alone can cause issues, let alone making custom APKs.
